“So it’s true, you are back.” She believed Ruby instantly when she was told, Sunny just needed to see him with her own eyes. And to come across him in the halls right after class, without even trying to find him, it was like fate wanted them to meet up. 

  lucas stood there for a moment, his chest feeling heavy as he looked at sunny. leaving gallagher when he did was the right choice but leaving sunny was never something he wanted. how felt about her then, how he felt about her now was all real but how he had handled his departure was all wrong. he has messed up with her yet again and lucas didn’t know if there was coming back from this one. “I’m back, I was going to text you today and ask if we can talk”, he stops for a moment trying to figure out what to say but all that came out is, “can we? I mean can we talk, if you have the time.”

cyrus sprinted down the hall as soon as he got the text that lucas was back, sprinting out the doors  of the dorm, right to his best friend, and jumping into his arms. “oh my god! finally!” 

 seeing cyrus lucas whole face lit up, a giant smile appearing on his lips. with missing a beat, he caught cyrus in his arms twirling him around and kissing his cheek. to anyone looking in from the outside, it would look like a couple who had been apart for a long time but honestly, that wasn’t too far off from the truth. “oh my god I missed you so much”, lucas hummed happily, “I’m never going that long not seeing you again it sucked.”

lucas looked up from his book as the girl spoke to the first year, trying to stifle a chuckle. he watched the kid scurry off with a wide eye look, she must have intimated the shit out of them. not that he could blame them, she seemed like she was a powerhouse for a lack of a better word. “you know”, lucas starts from a nearby tree he was leaning against, “you could have just asked him nicely, the poor kid is traumatized.” there was a light airy tone to his words as he made his way to stand over her, “what are you working on?”

“I have never eaten Thanksgiving at Denny’s,” she started, smirking a little as she settled into her own seat at the dining hall. She was glad that Lucas was back; she enjoyed his company quite immensely. “But now that I’m not going home, maybe I’ll make the trip and do it. If you want to join me, of course.” Eating Thanksgiving alone at a family restaurant just seemed sad to her. 

 “oof that’s tragic rowan you’re missing out”, he matched her smirks popping a bit of his toast in his mouth in the process. it was nice to see her, she had always been a good friend during his time at gallagher. “are you kidding me, pancakes and spending time with my favorite redhead? it is a dream come true, besides you have to catch me up on what has been going down around here I feel like I missed so much shit just in two months.”

  lucas fiddled with his hands for a moment, not taking ella’s sharp tone personally knowing she was more than likely just bummed to be spending the holiday at gallagher. he couldn’t really blame her, he would do anything to still be with his mom rather than chowing down on a bowl of cereal on thanksgiving morning. “well I can’t promise the perfect bagel but if you want I’ll raid the kitchen with you to try and find something close to perfect.”

“what’s denny’s? oh you handsome fool”, he sighed poking the end of the other man's nose playfully, “It’s kinda like an IHOP or if you don’t know what is just a diner, they sell a lot of different food for pretty cheep but their pancakes are the best thing on the menu, well that and the hashbrowns.”

     landon looks up from his bowl of cereal, a staple for him no matter the time of day. he looks down at his shirt, and he can’t help but to laugh at the sweatshirt. “setting up early for ugly sweater season?” he asks before lucas has the chance to actually say what he’s come over to say. “but denny’s is so good. do you think they have one in roseville?” maybe before he leaves he’ll venture out to get some.

  “hey this sweater is beautiful, you just don’t know anything about fashion landon”, he said in mock hurt before starting to laugh at his own words. he knew the sweater was ridiculous, but that didn’t mean he wasn’t going to strut around in it the rest of the day. “thank you, finally someone who understands my love for denny’s. I have no idea but if there is I’ll buy you a grand slam on me bud in the spirit of the holidays or whatever.”

Arching a single eyebrow as Aziza listened to what he was saying all while staring at the turkey, she chuckled. “You are full of surprises, Perez. for a moment he was worried she end up like some of the other more snotty kids in gallagher by the way she was looking him over but then her laugh broke through causing lucas’ smile to only grow, she had a nice laugh. “oh you gotta try it someday, really the upmost delicious example of american food”, he teased chuckling softly, “ right? everyone is all about turkey but that shit is dry as hell and takes hours to cook, I’m glad I could help with your pancake journey.” lucas held his hand out to the girl, leaning over the table a bit as he did. “I’m lucas perez, I don’t think we’ve met yet.”

 lucas couldn’t help but chuckle at seb’s pun, rolling his eyes playfully. “ha ha very funny”, he hummed putting a hand over his heart in fake shock, “you don’t know what a grand slam is? god you are so deprived you, poor handsome british man, a grand slam is eight pancakes, eight scrambled eggs, four bacon strips, four sausage links, and hash browns for under ten bucks it was my favorite thing growing up”. he has a foster mom once that would take him and the other kids to denny’s for almost every holiday, without fail little lucas would always get the grand slam.

WHERE HAS LUCAS BEEN THIS SEMESTER? 

TW: DEATH OF PARENT, CANCER MENTION 

  lucas was heading into this year with a new mindset about himself, he was going to buckle down and focus but then he got a letter. It was a letter from his birth mother, the last person he expected to hear from. he wasn’t even really sure how she found out where he was, the only thing he could think was at the beginning of last semester he left his address at gallagher with his old orphanage asking if anything came to send it to him there. In the letter Lucas learned a few things his mothers name was maria, she was dying and she had been looking for him too. It was a stroke of luck she had tracked him down, finding an article about some petty theft he did back when he was in foster care and she found his orphanage through that. she wanted to see him, but time was running out as she had a rare form of bone cancer and she didn’t have long to live. so with a heavy heart, he asked for a leave from gallagher for the semester to go meet his mother...

   lucas waited on the front porch of the small home of his birth mother in some small town in texas, his stomach twisting into knots. he had dreamt of this moment for so long but now that it was here he wasn’t sure he could do it. what if she didn’t like him? what if he was too much to handle? maybe he should just go back to gallagher, and forget all this but almost as soon as that thought crosses his mind a woman opens the door with a nervous smile on her face. “sorry I uh was looking through the window”, she confesses fingers wiggling slightly almost as if she was fighting the urge to hug her long lost son. what struck him was how much alike they looked, he always guessed he would look like his father but he was wrong. she was shorter than him but they had the same cut features and curly locks just as wild as his. her eyes were sunken in and she was pale more than likely from being sick but she was beautiful, so beautiful. they stood there for a moment looking at each other before finally encompassing each other in a hug and without him even realizing it lucas had started crying. “oh my boy”, maria mumbled into his chest as he sobbed holding her close. they had finally found each other. 

the next two months lucas spent by his mother's side, informing gallagher that his leave of absents would be longer than he thought. he needed to spend the time he lost with his mother, while they had it. they spent their nights cooking and talking, lucas telling everything to his mother even the part about spy school. he didn't want to keep anything from her, not when they had so little time to get to know each other.  maria was kind and warm, she had lucas too young to take care of him but now that they were together again she was making up for lost time. even when she got really sick their time was spent laughing and cherishing the time they had. he was with her every step of the way, until the very end where she peacefully passed away with her son by her side. 

 that was two weeks ago and Lucas is finally back at school, making up for all his missed assignments he couldn’t take when he was away. he misses his mother terribly but he got two months with his mom and he will cherish those two months for the rest of his life.

   welcome back to gallagher academy, lucas perez! according to their records, they’re a third year, specializing in seduction and flirtation + awareness training, breath control, hand to hand combat; and they did not go to a spy prep high school. when i see them walking around in the halls, i usually see a flash of ( golden chains hanging above a bare chest, a flirty smile with wicked eyes to match and the feeling of lingering lips on your neck ). when it’s the (CANCER)’s birthday on 06/23/1996, they always request their a bowl of lucky charms from the school’s chefs. looks like they’re well on their way to graduation. @gallagherinto

BACKGROUND

 as far as background of his life, it’s hard to know where it starts as lucas doesn’t even really know himself. he knows that he was born from a teen pregnancy then given up into the system and that is where the line stops. adoption wasn’t something in the cards for him, jumping around in foster care for most his childhood. half of it could be his delinquent behavior such as petty theft or sneaking out of foster homes late at night. he always wanted a family growing up but gave up hope after awhile, realizing the only person he has is himself.

things got worse when he became a teenager, he got better and better at stealing becoming quite the pocket thief. It also didn’t hurt that he had a way with people, a gift that he used often. whether that be his way of reading someones emotions and actions easily or the way he could bat his eye lashes while saying a few sweet words to get what he wanted, he used his gift often.

In school he wasn’t dumb, in fact he had great grades but he was running away for long periods of time and getting caught by the cops being brought back to his case worker every time. when he finally turned eighteen, he had his last meeting with his case worker and that is when the card for blackthorne got slid towards him. they saw something in lucas, something that could be used and honestly he didn’t have many options to turn to.

blackthorne for obvious reasons was no cake walk for obvious reasons. it wasn’t what he thought it was, it turned him into a different person someone he never thought he could become. sure he had his charming smile and devilish wit but behind his eyes it was clear to see he had changed into a different man. he thought about running, like he done as a foster kid, but he knew that he would be found easily. lucky for him the school was closed down and he was transferred to gallagher, he is embracing the change though his experience at blackburn will stay with him forever.

PERSONALITY

he is a huge flirt obviously and is made of one liners, he has had more lovers than he can keep track of at this point honestly.

lucas can be seen as jack off or slacker to some but he takes his studies seriously and makes great grades. he might not seem like it or admit it but he is a smart lil boi

he doesn’t have a family but I imagine those he is close to he treats like his family and is sUPER proactive over them he struggles with romantic love but when it comes to platonic love he loves deeply

 I know that Lucas has some plots from before I left for a bit so if you like to keep going with those let me know or we can start something new! I really am open to anything! 

As far as it goes with what Lucas has been up to I’m still trying to figure out the details and will write up a lil something to explain it!
