The seal goods I got on my recent trip to Japan. This stuff is from the gift shops at Kinosaki Marine World and Kaiyukan plus a couple of ¥100 shops. I was so overwhelmed by the seal merch selection at the aquarium shops that I may not have made the best choices. Also, I saw a couple of seal toy gachapon machines but I assumed there would probably be more of these at Kaiyukan so I didn’t play. But there were no gacha at Kaiyukan and I didn’t go back to find the machines!

I’m so moved by the Japanese seal fans and their mourning for Mizore. I’m still not over the death of Ponsuke a year ago. Anyway, I sketched some seal fan art. Swim free forever, sealy boys.

You guys really came out for Ponsuke! He won both first place in the Seal of the Year free-for-all poll with 325 votes AND he won Silliest Seal with 42 votes! It's great to know he's still so loved, even after his passing.
In second place, we've got Niko! Sadly, no three-pet for Niko but he got an equally impressive 277 votes and he won the Best Boy poll with 43 votes!
And finally in 3rd place, we've got the Idol of the seal world: Mizore with 212 votes! Currently off exhibit at Otaru Aquarium in Hokkaido, he's a jet setting seal with a heart of gold... or rather, bronze. Enjoy that third place Mizore!
