Ryuji let out a heavy sigh, knowing he was going to cave eventually with the tone Yusuke was using. He didn’t like to lie and that went double when someone was so concerned for him. “I got in a fight. These guys were sayin’ shit and I couldnt keep my mouth shut. Lost my cool.” He tried to shrug it off like it wasn’t that big of a deal.

“Ah… Is this the part where you say that I should’ve seen the other guy?” He frowned. “I’m sure it was for a good reason. Even you know better than to get into fights for minor things. You should keep something cold on the bruise, if it still hurts. It will probably lessen any swelling.”

Ryuji chuckled at Yusuke’s comment. “Well I woulda if you didn’t beat me to it.” He winced when he smiled too wide, his split lip stinging. He shrugged a shoulder, feeling like the whole fight now wasn’t as important as it seemed at the time when Yusuke said that. “Yeah, I’ll get somethin’ to put on it.”
