i wish we as a fandom collectively acknowledged cole and his trauma more. cole has repeatedly shown signs of self-doubt and often believes that he will be forgotten / abandoned if he lets people down. i believe that stems from his strained relationship with his father. after lily died, it is evident that lou became an absent / distant parent, and cole would run away a LOT. he even lied about his profession because he was afraid to be himself because he didn't want to disappoint his dad. cole is so complex and i need to see more cole love.

I'm rewatching Ninjago with a friend of mine, who's watching it for the first time since they were little, and we got through the end of S1 tonight.

Imagine going back to the pilots-season 2 Ninja, and trying to tell them about the robot uprising, the noodle cult, the ghosts, the pirates who like the sky, the snake and time guys, the fucking biker cult, the guys who hunt and eat dragons, the living embodiments of destruction, an angry fire snake, their friend turning into a GENOCIDAL TYRANT, the video game that was just an abandoned child, the slave-owning king, the evil human-hating squid, the return of Satan, AND ESPECIALLY the 14 remaining Realms coming together and creating some clusterfuck disastertopia where some evil Empress dictator and her army want to drain ALLLL dragons of their life force to rule the Merged Realms.
