The fantastic Ginger_Cat wrote a GO3 canon compliant Fix-It that will blow your sexy socks off!
Heart aching romance and smoldering sex aside, the story is beautiful and I love the ending!
Please read and enjoy the art that was inspired by it:

When I see posts trying to vilify Crowley or Aziraphale, I simple chuckle and remind myself that THEY BOTH WERE GONNA SHOOT A KID RIGHT IN THE FACE WITH AN ANTIQUE BAZOOKA TO SAVE THEIR BOOZY BRUNCHES!
So, ya know. They aren’t the best at handling stressful situations! Neither one was entirely good or bad. They’re basically average human adults, with perhaps a wee bit more bloodlust if you try to interrupt their good time.
Maybe cut them some slack. Stop pointing fingers and remember all they really wanted was their jobs to get off their dicks, figuratively. Maybe literally.
Heaven is full of weirdos.
How they handle any and all inconveniences:
I'm not really in this fandom and obvs don't support Neil Gaiman, skimmed the episode out of curiosity in a way that wouldn't put any money in his pocket, etc. But I just generally feel a lot of empathy for the Good Omens fandom, which I know has become a safe space for a lot of Queer people during a pretty tough time to be Queer. I understand how and why those are precious, and why it feels to some of you like you're losing that space, and that's why it hurts so much, because it can feel like we're still fighting for those spaces in real life. That it's not just about a television show but a world where you could envision the kind of happiness you yourselves want for the Earth and that that happiness could be indestructible.
So, as an outsider: if nothing else, the ending of Good Omens 3 really emphasized for me that the deeply and uniquely romantic opus that was 'crowley and aziraphale loving one another across time and space' was essentially made and perfected by the fandom, one that a certain rightfully disgraced author could never, despite his intentions, successfully appropriate into the actual text with as much depth and complexity. Fandom always realized that story far more powerfully (and with way, way more curiosity into their inner lives, something that always utterly mystified about the actual show) than seasons 2 and 3 ever did. And the finale can't actually kill the most beautiful version of the story, which the author ultimately validated as true but never fully realized better than all of you did. I hope at least there's some power in that. NG was in the end only a small fish nibbling sustenance off the belly of a larger fish which was all of you. I hope at least there's some power in that. That story will always be quite literally infinite.
Well this made me sob 😭😭😭
I have read so many fanfics that are so much better than what we got in the finale, especially the last parts. I’m sad that we’ll not see any of those enacted by David and Michael. We deserved something worthy of us. And we’ll continue to get it from the fandom, like always.

Crowley lets his soft side shine and Aziraphale is the put upon partner who adores his spouse, obsession to save all Tesco plants and all.
Crowley is on a mission to show off......some of their paintings and photographs in their cottage. Not his pancake bum or anything, nooo🥞
thinking a lot about how over the years, that evil man (NG) has alluded to the fact that he identifies with Crowley. from the novel's description of the character's appearance (looks kind of like Lou Reed, proud of his cheekbones, etc), to his emotional state (Crowley's rush to the burning bookshop in S1 supposedly being representative of NG's desperation to save Terry Pratchett from death), even NG and Terry's wardrobe choices when Good Omens was first published (NG in black, Terry in Aziraphalean white).
to be clear, I don't think that NG (a bad man!) is Crowley, or even all that analagous to him. but his admissions, however coy, are interesting to me given what we now know: despite being revealed as a sexual predator, regardless of the fact that fans were told he'd not be involved in S3, NG fathered the "finale" with the help of his little horror pals. (notably, those very pals protest his innocence in the face of blindingly awful allegations of sexual abuse.)
the significance, for me, is that so much of the finale felt unbalanced. the push-and-pull between Aziraphale and Crowley, the playfulness and pettiness and overwhelming care, are absent. instead, we get an Aziraphale who is cold, removed, cowardly. Crowley, meanwhile, is something of a martyr: disgraced, publicly humiliated, stripped of his powers, yet somehow still the only really noble personality. it turns out, S3 tells us, Crowley wasn't just the Serpent of Eden who shepherded mankind toward knowledge. he was the best angel ever, and he's been right all along, and now he gets to decide what happens with the universe! spoiler alert: he wipes out everything, including himself and Aziraphale--his best friend.
so much here is inconsistent with the established story as to be ridiculous, and at first I attributed this purely to bad and lazy writing. but now I lean toward another reading: NG is using Crowley as proxy.
an author who's spent the last couple of years wallowing in self-pity and resentment, the back alleys of his mind, isn't interested in accountability. he chooses to broadcast how mean everyone has been to our poor hero, how patiently he's borne the scorn of lesser minds. and now, in his final act of creation, he chooses to nuke the known universe. he decides oblivion is preferable to his own abjection, and he won't go alone: he takes custody of his best friend's memory, his very name, with him.

Some fluff from last year that I never posted because I wanted to fix the perspective (I didn't fix the perspective, don't look at those cursed chairs)
Well, I had to draw Aziraphale too.
One of my favorite paintings I did last year! Aziraphale from Good Omens :>
