THIS IS TOO MUCH WHOLESOME IN A TINY BODY
Snagov Monastery and the Tomb of Dracula is located on a small island in Lake Snagov Snagov city, about 40 km from the city Bucharest.
The monastery is built in Byzantine style: the walls are built in alternating rows of stone and brick, the church itself is shaped like a cross with a semicircular apse. It is a church of great tradition in the history of Wallachia, being closely linked to their princes or domnitores.
Inside the monastery you can see the largest gathering of medieval Wallachia frescoes, dating from the sixteenth century and the Tomb of Dracula.
Both the island and the Tomb of Dracula over the centuries witnessed many dramas. In the basement archaeological excavations discovered both marble tombs like the house of torture.
It is said that he was murdered in the woods surrounding the place, after being betrayed by his own nobles and the Orthodox church, not look favorably upon her marriage to a Catholic princess, although the purpose of Vlad Tepes was getting so the support of the king of Hungary, catolic, in their struggle against the Turks.
His remains attended the monks for the money that Dracula had given them before. His body was richly dressed and beheaded.
Legends say that his head was wrapped, perfumed and sent as a gift to the Sultan of the Ottoman Empire (Turkish) as proof that the cruel facto ruler of Wallachia had died.
