●Well, I'm sure you have no doubts that The Great Papyrus would be an amazing father!
●He's compassionate, understanding, energetic and a good role model overall! So of course, your child would take over his father.
●Now Papyrus did prepare himself with lots and lots of books on raising children when he was made aware that a little one was coming into his life. But like all parents, he's not perfect, as great as he is. No matter how much advice he can ask from Toriel, Asgore, and any parent he knows, he's bound to make mistakes. Both of you are. He's aware of that, and as much as he won't admit it, it definitely made him nervous and worried on how great he'll do as a father.
●But he knew that with you on his side, things will be okay.
●During the baby/toddler days, he was a bit confused on some stuff. A few differences between human anatomy and monster anatomy left a few problems. Like;Potty Training. Or feeding. But Papyrus easily overcame those obstacles, like he always does! Via books, other humans, You, and weekly meetings in a "New Parents" group.
●Because of course he would join those. AND drag you along with him.
●Later on, when the young one is a bit more grown up, Papyrus starts to teach them how to make puzzles, and solve them of course! He starts with small and simple, but quickly moves on to detailed and complicated.
●There's no "good cop bad cop" dynamic between you two as parents, because he's a perfectly balanced mixture of lenient and strict.
●Yes, he does oblige when his kid asks for five more minutes with the home iPad with a sad look on their face, but that doesn't mean he'll let himself get stuck in an endless loop of going back and forth and keep on giving them five more minutes! If they ask for more than five minutes, he'll simply carry them away from the device.
●He also won't let them procrastinate on any of their homework. His brother is lazy enough, he can't have his kid be lazy as well! If they face any trouble, he'll gladly help them, though. He's great at literature and mathematics, so you can take care of artistic subjects and physics or biology. If you're not good at those, then all three of you (Papyrus, you and your child) can struggle with YouTube lessons.
●He's very punctual, and makes sure that his kid is the same, as he is responsible of them! Respecting others is respecting their time, and his kid should always be respectful.
●I think it's a given, but he's a very gentle parent. He doesn't go by the "you're young so you must respect me" rule, he believes his kid's respect should be earned. So, even as they reach their teenage rebellion years, he won't ever raise his voice at them (out of anger, I mean. It's Papyrus, after all. His voice is always raised.)
