A snap shot of Mondays. Arguably my busiest day as I 'log back' into emails and see communications from Friday and through the weekend. I don't actually truly log off, as you can see in the weekly snap there is a lot happening. I've color coded everything and time tracked activities- adjusting and fine tuning a schedule that works for me the farmer trying to respond in real time to the weather while also intertwining the schedules to be compatible with capitalism and all those other businesses and people who operate out of sync with nature. Funny how I use a time tracking clock and calendar to figure this all out. The weekly snap shot 📸 is of the first full week of next month- the busiest week featured next to my busiest day.
Sub Calendars 🗓️ I keep and I can turn on and off to reduce visual clutter and increase focus:
✅ Michelle - me stuff
✔️ Admin/Legal - doesn't have to be me stuff, customer relations, emails, calendaring, paying or issuing invoices, updating websites, databases, SOP writing, licensing&permits, etc.
✅ CSA - specific delivery details, start and ending dates, breaks
✔️ Farm Ops: Prophouse, Field Prep, TP/DS, Irrigation, IPM, Harvest, Maintenance, Seed Saving
✅ Fiscal (often copied to Admin) - paying bills, filing bank statements, organizing receipts, getting fiscal reports.
✔️ HR (often copied to Admin & Fiscal) payroll, meetings, trainings
✅ Marketing - social media posts, blogs, emails ✉️
Grant deadlines & certain tasks & bills are also scheduled as reminders.
Every little 3min+ task adds up! If I could do less paperwork I would but having it written down takes it out of my head and allows another person access to the information without needing my brain 🧠. Today I accomplished my a.m. task block in half the time! 👍🏼 I did some extra curriculars and I am now headed off to seed in the Prophouse 🌱💕👩🏼🌾 Today is very wet ☔.
