“Oh, you’ve... you’ve heard of me? Only good things, I hope!” Words came accompanied by an awkward little chortle, the teenager rubbing the back of her neck, Sure, she’d realized that she’d started making a name for herself, but she never thought word of her shenanigans would ever reach the ears of another human... much less an adult...

Much, MUCH less one that’d want to see what she can do. She wouldn’t surprise get in the way of her showmanship, though!

“Well, sure! I can’t quite cast magic like the witches here can, but I’ve still got plenty to show off!” Excitement renewed, the young girl is quick to start scrambling through her bag and pulling out materials; a paper and a pen, with which she inscribes a single glyph.

And, with the process shown, taps a finger atop the symbol- the paper being consumed and an ice cube forming in her hand. “Ta-DA! Glyph magic!”

It had been an accident.

One minute, Dipper had been reading something written on a wall and the next, he was flying through the air, space and time seeming to contort and twist around him. His body felt as if it was being pulled like taffy and a scream worked it's way to his lips for a moment... Until her slammed back down to earth.

Well, for the most part.

The 13 year old never got to take in his surroundings, because the moment he hit the ground, he rolled... And kept on rolling. For a good moment he seemed to be like a human ball, bouncing off the ground until eventually he came to a very hard and sudden stop, abruptly slamming into someone in front of him that was sitting down.

“Come on, come on...” The girl muttered to herself, sat on the Owl House’s floor with a pile of papers sat in front of her and an ever grown amount of crumpled pieces around her. Yes, she was trying to figure out new spell combinations again. And as usual, it wasn’t going well.

As made evident by her making one last stroke of her pen and setting her hand upon the paper- a small burst of magic appearing before quickly fizzling out. Much to Luz’s chagrin.

But, before she has a chance to crumble the sheet and move on to the next, she’s interrupted by another flash of magic; a bright tear in reality appearing before her... which, initially, all she can do is blink at, looking between the paper and the portal wondering if it was her doing.

She isn’t given much time to ponder on the sudden phenomena, however, as a blur of motion comes rolling out of it and crashing right into before she react- a girlish screech being all she can yell out before impact. The portal closing by the time either recovers.

“Jeez.. ow... could you maybe give a warning next time y... you...” The girl grumbled as got up to her knees, rubbing her now aching head; her words trailing off as hazel eyes finally looked at the thing... the person that had come tumbling into her room. The person with round ears.

“You... you’re a human!” Yeah, it’ll probably not be a good sign for the other kid to hear that exclaimed with such surprise.

So I may or may not have been cropping frames for icons for another entirely impulse-driven muse all day today.

And I may or may not already have 255 of them. Before I’ve even gotten to the S1 finale.

“YEAH! Go cry to overlord big bird whatever-his-name-is, losers!” The literal child shouted at the the group of now fleeing coven guards, who’d had their uniforms decorated with slashes and at least one of them having had their hand impaled with a dagger for trying to cast spells at her.

The bombastic energy of the scene draining almost the instant the guards bolted around a corner, the girl exhaling and leaning onto the nearest wall, equal parts extremely exhausted and extremely frustrated.

“Oh... my... gosh. This place is even worse than frogville.” She never thought she’d say those words, but here she was; missing Amphibia. Never mind the fact that’s where her friends still were- at least the frogs didn’t have freaking cops. Much less ones that seemed terribly intent on harassing any unfamiliar humans they ran across.

That was the third group she’d have to scare off since she’d arrived, and it was really starting to get on her nerves.

Well, this was quite frankly one of the rudest squids the crown princess would’ve ever chased. It had no intent to play with her at all, the audacity! And for it to be carrying such an unusual color, practically asking to be terrorized thoroughly inspected!

But no, instead it’s fleeing as fast as it can propel through the underwater caves... not coming to a stop until it reaches a pocket of air, and practically launches itself out of the water to get away from her.

... if only for a moment, before it rears it’s head to... glare at her?

“Now listen here, sharkbait, I am NOT a chewtoy!” Oh, it can talk. Not the most peculiar thing for Miranda to encounter, admittedly, but still certainly a surprise. What would be fairly peculiar is when it’s form began to shift, quickly going from a boneless invertebrate to a fully boned vertebrate.

Still green, though.

“Seriously, have you tried asking before doing that? You’re clearly smart enough to do it, considering I can’t turn into whatever you are.” Sure, he might’ve understood the social predatory urge to chase and bite and play better than any other human, but he never did it without permission!

... or, well, he’d done it once, but Raven had thrown him out a window for it, so. “Regardless, I’m very busy, and don’t have time for a chase! Superhero business and all that!”

She’s quick enough to recover, at least... physically, anyway. Enough to sit back up and show her complete disapproval directly.

I was fully expecting her to pick up the candy-haired one (whatever that means), considering she’s the one that kicks butt, and Lila clearly enjoys girls that kick butt.

Exhibit A standing right before you.” A smug proclamation accompanied by her vaguely gesturing at herself- which, admittedly, isn’t exactly unwarranted considering she’s the strongest earth-bender. Smug nonetheless, though. 

“If nothing else, slime monster girl at the least reminds me of Katara... for some reason... but, THIS kid? She’s more like Twinkle Toes than anyone else. Stupidly nice, wanting to master everything instead of specializing in one thing, and with way more moral turmoil than any kid their age should have to deal with.

“I know you’re down there, by the way.” And, without even getting up, she lifts one foot up and stomps down on the ground beneath her- sending the blue bonsai demon that had been burrowing below flying out in an eruption of Earth, undoubtedly faceplanting somewhere behind her.

Apologies for not getting anything done today. Spent most of the day helping spruce up the house, since my brother will be in town tomorrow. Probably not gonna be on much this weekend, on account of that. Y’know, just as a heads up.
