𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐖𝐎𝐌𝐀𝐍’𝐒 𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐓𝐎 𝐓𝐖𝐎’𝐒 𝐀𝐃𝐕𝐀𝐍𝐂𝐄 was almost pleasing to the blonde, in some sick, sadistic way. it gave two a sense of control, however false. in the presence of a mage, there was no control or safety. two could fight, she could take a grown man down, but if that man had magic ? there was really nothing she could do to fight against that. unless, of course, she maintained the element of surprise.
still, this woman was giving her absolutely NOTHING to go off of. she’s lost her patience with this woman. the blonde stands from her seat, moving behind the divider to get dressed. ❛ if that’s what you came here for, you wasted your time. i don’t know anything. people hire me to kill people. i don’t ask questions. ❜ there’s a pause as the towel is thrown over the divider and she slips into her usual attire. a similar style to yennefer’s, but with less flourish and more reds. ❛ ilphas was unfortunate to piss someone off enough for them to want him dead. and i delivered. ❜
LETTING OUT A FRUSTRATED SIGH she raises a hand to cover her face. ilphas was vital to tracking ciri, and it is unlikely she’d be able to replace him. because of this woman her progress has stalled for an unfortunately long amount of time. who would do this ? who would want ilphas dead ? questions that will certainly torment her if not provided an answer. she couldn’t blame the woman — witchers provide similar services. however, she needed to blame someone other than herself. for ciri’s sake.
❛ perhaps you should ask questions. ❜ snapping back, eyes once again flashing blue with anger. this woman seemed too volatile to negotiate with. frustration builds as she feels a sense of helplessness. a feeling yen wasn’t particularly fond of feeling. she always had an answer to something. a solution to anything. now she has nothing. ❛ you have no idea the time or information you have cost me. ❜ she leans against a stone wall, steadying herself as the anger grows. ❛ whoever it was that hired you does not value you. ❜ pausing only for emphasis. ❛ they will send someone for you — i hope you know this. ❜
deathvoided.
𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐂𝐋𝐎𝐒𝐄 𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐓𝐀𝐂𝐓 𝐂𝐀𝐔𝐒𝐄𝐒 demeanor to rapidly shift. before this was all a joke, a laughable encounter. but, the joke’s ended now and this woman has overstayed her welcome. not like she was ever welcome in the first place. with the invasion of personal space, a hand is quick to grab the woman’s wrist and jerk it downwards. eyes glare and she can feel the anger BURNING in her chest as fingers coil tighter. ❛ get your fucking hand away from me. ❜ she spits out, releasing her grip with a toss of the woman’s hand. she turns back to her reflection, slate hues traveling to the scar embedded in her skin. a brutal reminder of past mistakes. the anger begins to subside almost as quickly as it appeared. ❛ why don’t you do us both a favor and tell me what is it you want ? i don’t have time for this. ❜
TAKING A SINGLE STEP BACK she chooses to ignore the pain in her wrist. only slightly taken aback from the woman’s swift reaction. she expected it to happen, deciding to note her quick reaction time for future reference. she may not readily give answers, but she will certainly provide them if provoked. not favorable, but perhaps the only way of dealing with a person of this sort.
she collects her thoughts, preparing her response with caution. now was not the time for rash decisions. ❛ i thought i made that clear. ❜ hand brushing a loose curl from her face. ❛ i want answers — though it’ is certainly clear i won’t be hearing any. ❜ her words falling out heated and swift. ❛ why don’t you tell me what you want to tell me ? would that make things any easier for you ? ❜
deathvoided.
𝐀𝐌𝐔𝐒𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓 𝐂𝐀𝐔𝐒𝐄𝐒 𝐀 𝐒𝐌𝐀𝐋𝐋 𝐋𝐀𝐔𝐆𝐇 to escape past her lips. it’s short in length and evidence of her temper beginning to spark. she can assume the woman is powerful, but those were exactly the type of people you couldn’t show ANY fear around. not that two was scared, but she had to make sure the stranger knew she wasn’t. now is when she finally stands from the tub, taking her time getting out and wrapping herself in a towel. she’d wanted to get out moments earlier, but the demands of the woman couldn’t be met. it was only out of SPITE and DEFIANCE that she stayed in the water.
she pushes past the woman, making her way to the vanity on the opposite side of the room. she’s adjusting her hair as slate hues glance back to the woman in the mirror. ❛ was it not enough to say i knew the elf’s throat was slit ? i don’t care if you know it was me. ❜ hands stop what they’re doing, pausing for a moment before she swivels in her seat to address the sorceress. she’s SURE of it now, the description she’d once overheard fit the woman perfectly. and there weren’t many women that could fit it. ❛ i’ve never heard of you either. but, let me guess — yennefer of vengerberg ? ❜
ARMS FOLD ACROSS HER CHEST as she stands firm, unmoving. unsurprised the woman knew of her. she was well aware of the reputation she carries with her. a danger to be well known, but mostly helpful, even if the information wasn’t always true. choosing not to speak right away, she takes her time to look the woman up and down, taking in her features. she’s a small woman — only a bit shorter than herself. her body showing minimal signs of damage. clearly swift with her killings. lips proud, fierce eyes unwavering. a worthy match.
❛ and if i asked who you learned that name from you’d avoid answering me. ❜ she stated bluntly, not searching for an answer. she didn’t want the woman to assume she was completely blind in this situation. as it rarely took her long to figure someone out. and she was familiar with people like this woman. she always gets the information one way or another. stepping forward, leaving minimal space between the two. hand brushes gently over a small scar under the woman’s eye. purposefully avoiding direct contact for her own safety. ❛ your business endeavors rarely involve conversation — am i correct ? ❜
deathvoided·.
𝐈𝐓 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐁𝐎𝐋𝐃 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐒 𝐖𝐎𝐌𝐀𝐍 𝐓𝐎 𝐀𝐒𝐒𝐔𝐌𝐄 just because of two’s position, she couldn’t just as easily take her down. still, she says nothing about the matter. she has to admit, ilphas’ mention pulls her attention. if this was regarding him, perhaps there was something to worry about. as far as she can remember, something like this has never really happened before. someone confronting an underground after a contract being fulfilled. how she managed to even find two was curious. there’s a pause on her end, even after the witch stops speaking.
two certainly didn’t butcher the elf. a dagger across his throat sufficed, there was no need for more mess. but, based on her attire, two can assume this woman has a preference for the DRAMATICS. there’s an inhale as she sits up further in the tub, slate hues never leaving the opposite woman. ❛ i have no idea why he’d would be found butchered. i didn’t do that. — unless, you think a cut throat means butchered. ❜
A SCOFF ESCAPING HER MOUTH she turns slightly, placing her hands on her hips. the woman was clearly not willing to give up any information. though yen did not expect this would be a smooth or easy confrontation. she had thought over and revised her plan multiple times over and death was never part of the plan, though the idea was becoming significantly more attractive as the evening went on. still —— she came to get information and will not be leaving without information. the death of this woman would certainly provide no useful information.
she remains quiet for a beat, unsure how to proceed. she rarely deals with matters like these on her own. much preferring to resort to petty retaliation or the complete destruction of one’s reputation or life, if the need so arises, though negotiation is not a favorable method of dealing with such matters. ❛ i have reason to believe you’re lying to me. i know it was you who killed ilphas. ❜ that was a lie. yen had never seen this woman’s face directly. however, she was rarely wrong, and the trail lead here. she takes a step forward in an attempt to intimidate the woman. ❛ i have never heard of you. what are you called ? ❜
meme / @deathvoided offertorium, lacrimosa, confutatis, in paradisum
OFFERTORIUM — what piece of art describes your muse ?
i see this piece all the time on pinterest and i always feel such a connection to it, as well as also thinking it would work quite well for yen. it’s a painful piece to look at, but it’s also very fitting and feel it represents that pain yen quite struggles with.
LACRIMOSA — what does your muse smell like ?
lou sent me this and we both laughed because it’s very obvious what yen smells like. lilac and gooseberries of course. however, i would like to expand on that. i definitely think there other smells to be associated with yen as well. smells like leather and the rain. her surroundings would smell like her signature scent, but also tea and various herbs and spices.
CONFUTATIS — what does your muse think about their childhood home / home life? is it a safe place? how did it impact the way they grew up? regardless of whether it is or isn’t, does your muse think it is a good place ?
yen feels very conflicted sometimes when thinking about her childhood. she’s aware she was treated unfairly, and she’s aware she deserved better, but she also can’t help but continue to think she was at fault for her treatment in some way. her home was not a safe place. her home life was painful, cold, and angry. growing up, she accepted that she was unworthy of love due to being a hunchback, and due to the way her parents treated her. even if her mother did show her small amounts of love and affection. she often believed she would have been better off dead, especially after seeing the way her father treated her mother because of her disability. she believed that she caused her mother that pain, and that her father would not have treated her mother poorly if she had never been born. only later realizing that she was not at fault at all. she still struggles to believe anyone could properly love her, but would never admit it.
IN PARADISUM — when your muse dies, how would they like to be buried ?
i don’t think yen would like to be buried at all, but instead be used for magic in some way. only by a close loved one. she would never allow her body to be taken or handled by anyone she had never fully loved. perhaps her body would be used to create a specific type of magic object that can only be utilized by said close loved one. but i also feel she wouldn’t dwell too heavily on the subject. she isn’t concerned with death, but she would prefer to have her post mortem affairs handled by loved ones only.

𝐀 𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐍𝐆𝐄𝐑 𝐏𝐎𝐑𝐓𝐀𝐋𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐈𝐍𝐓𝐎 𝐇𝐄𝐑 𝐇𝐎𝐌𝐄 wasn’t a new occurrence, and she doubts it will be the last. though, it is quite inconvenient, especially when they show up unannounced and she’s indisposed. not that she CARES being seen, it’s simply annoying and irritating. the raven haired woman is no different, and she almost recognizes her from a vague description she’d overheard at an inn one day.
an empty stare is offered, even as the stranger attempts to order her around. to come into someone’s home without so much as a hello and immediately start bossing them around seemed quite RUDE. brows knit together, hands tightening around the rim of the tub. ❛ no, ❜ she states, chin lifting as she stares at the woman. there’s a pause, already calculating where the nearest weapon was if things got ugly. she’s even gone so far as to study the detail of the woman’s clothing, any weak points, thin layers. ❛ what do you want ? ❜
A SILENCE FALLING OVER THE ROOM she pauses. hearing the rush of her blood pumping and the water in the tub rippling around the ashen haired woman. definitely not who she was expecting from the showy figure she had seen while conjuring information. she wasn’t sure who she expected, as the figure didn’t look particularly masculine, but this woman before her was certainly a surprise. she sighs, surprise quickly replaced with the same boiling anger as before as the woman denied her demands.
❛ i want you to get out. ❜ voice echoing off the walls of the large, open room. ❛ but if you insist on facing me while indisposed and in a quite unfavorable position —— that is your choice. ❜ she paces, looking over the room, keeping the woman in her peripheral. ❛ tell me. ❜ voice deepens slightly. ❛ ilphas —— i assume you’re familiar with him. ❜ feet turning to face the woman once again. ❛ do you have any idea why he would be found butchered mercilessly ? can you answer that ? ❜
@deathvoided.
EYES GLOWING WITH WHITE HOT ANGER she paces the cobblestoned floor of her chambers in vizima. hands wringing, anger boiling. the first move had clearly been made. by who, she wasn’t sure. surely emhyr’s doing, though he was not directly connected to ilphas’ death. ilphas did not die by emhyr’s hand, but by an indistinguishable figure. precise, clean, and unseen. tracing this figure had not been easy, nor quick. a definite and unforeseen annoyance.
pacing continues as she curses to herself quietly. unsure what she would be getting herself into, though she had thought through her intentions and possible outcomes as thoroughly as possible. her move had to be made now. stepping back, she gathers herself. drawing a breath and adjusting her blouse out of habit. hands raise, conjuring a portal with a swift, cracking thunderclap.
stepping out into into a dimly lit room, the portal closes behind her, rustling raven curls. violet eyes observe the new surroundings. she admittedly expected something less welcoming. someone was obviously still utilizing the space. she pauses, listening for any sounds of movement or activity. a faint sound catching her attention. the sound of water rippling and falling gently, drifting from a closed door across the room. footsteps begin, swift yet inaudible, before pushing the door open at once. not bothering to observe the figure sitting undisturbed in the bathtub. ❛ get out. ❜
WHAT FORM WOULD YOUR DAEMON TAKE?
RAPTOR. those who have raptor daemons are intellectual and precise, though unlike other bird daemons they also symbolize active and ambition. they are logical but confident, often preferring to work alone in relentless pursuit of their goals.
GOSHAWK. you are a calm and expressive individual who stands up for what you want. more so than others with raptor daemons, those with goshawks are long-fused but aggressive when pushed; they have a tendency to go too far, but are similarly hard on themselves and their worst critics. they are devoted to their loved ones, but overall they are blunt and impatient people who don’t give up easily.

I’m aware that I’ve been very fucking absent for a good long while but that was mostly due to the holiday season and me being way too busy and/or distracted to write much. BUT I’m still here, and I can’t guarantee that I’ll be anymore consistent but I love Yen and that’s that, bye.
heavenwalked·:
𝑺𝑶𝑴𝑬𝑻𝑯𝑰𝑵𝑮 𝑰𝑵 𝑯𝑬𝑹 𝑷𝑼𝑳𝑳𝑺 𝑻𝑯𝑬 𝑩𝑳𝑶𝑵𝑫𝑬 to the conclusion that yennefer may be downplaying this just a bit. there’s concern, and it’s evident on charlie’s expression —— especially as the words ‘dangerous’ and ‘anymore’ leave the sorceress’ lips. ❛ what do you mean — dangerous anymore ? they were dangerous before ? ❜ she can’t back down now, despite her fears. it was still more preferable than riding back to toussaint. especially since the men she had rode with weren’t going back with her. a woman unattended in these lands was a TARGET for every foul-doer. ❛ oh, gods, can we please just get this over with ? i’ll change my mind if i keep thinking about it. ❜
A SMIRK FALLS ACROSS ROSY LIPS. she always did enjoy invoking a bit of fear. simply for fun — or personal gain. this time, for fun, and to see the facial expressions of the vibrant blonde. ❛ please. ❜ a melodic laugh filling the air. ❛ don’t focus on that fact. ❜ raising a charcoal filled brow. ❛ you are experiencing magic for the first time, right ? ❜ a slender hand extends towards the blonde, grasping her upper arm firmly. ❛ just hold tight to me and you’ll be alright. i can even count to three if you’d like. ❜
heavenwalked·:
𝑮𝑰𝑽𝑬𝑵 𝑻𝑯𝑬 𝑶𝑻𝑯𝑬𝑹 𝑾𝑶𝑴𝑨𝑵’𝑺 𝑬𝑿𝑷𝑹𝑬𝑺𝑺𝑰𝑶𝑵, perhaps her little display was a bit much. in all fairness, charlie wasn’t entirely sure if portal was the correct term for it. better to act as if she didn’t know what she was talking about rather than look like a fool acting as if she did. ❛ it would be much faster than horse. ❜ a hand lifts, brushing away a loose blonde lock that had strayed much too close to her face.
still, the woman had offered, but charlie had underlying hesitance. she’d never even seen such magic being used, having lived her life tucked away in the relative SAFETY of toussaint. there was magic there, but never around her. the subject was still a complete mystery to her. ❛ —— what’s it like ? ❜
BROWS FURROW AS SHE COLLECTS her thoughts. she had never given much thought to portals anymore as she used them so frequently. though it may seem impressive to the average person. ❛ well —— ❜ pausing, unsure how to word such a description. ❛ you’ll see a flash of light, hear what sounds like a thunderclap, perhaps a bit of that whooshing. and that’s that. ❜ while easy enough, travelling by portal isn’t favored by all. or a certain witcher in particular, always a humorous thought in times of boredom. ❛ geralt claims they give him vertigo which i choose not to believe. ❜ rose colored lips smirking slightly. ❛ plus they’re hardly dangerous anymore. ❜
heavenwalked·:
𝑻𝑯𝑬𝑹𝑬’𝑺 𝑨 𝑺𝑴𝑰𝑳𝑬 𝑻𝑯𝑨𝑻 𝑻𝑼𝑮𝑺 𝑨𝑻 𝑹𝑶𝑺𝑬𝑨𝑻𝑬 𝑳𝑰𝑷𝑺, blooming at the woman’s change of mind. though, she wouldn’t consider yennefer quite a friend, she enjoyed the woman’s company. it fails to fade, especially as the sorceress brings up geralt’s UNDOUBTED distaste for any formal clothing. she’s all too familiar. the last time charlie made something for him, he grumbled and fussed for the entire fitting. ❛ i’ll have to clear some of my schedule. i may have some older outfits that would suit him nicely once i adjusted them to his — size. ❜ slate hues widen briefly at the thought of his measurements. purely from a tailoring perspective, charlie couldn’t help but notice his MONUMENTAL figure. it was rather intimidating. ❛ they’re outfits that never sold, so they’d be new to anyone at the ball. ❜
A MELODIC LAUGH ESCAPES at the thought of geralt silently fuming while being fussed with. like a child being forced to sit still. he wouldn’t argue with yen, though she was sure she’d hear a few grumbles. ❛ i’m sure those will do just fine. ❜ pausing to consider what day would be best to bring him along for a fitting. something she’d have to lie to him about, no doubt, though he’ll figure it out quickly enough. he always does. ❛ i will bring him by in two days. ❜ violet eyes glance up at charlie, inspecting her clothes. she was always a well dressed woman. something that encouraged yen to visit her shop. a good tailor ought to be well dressed. ❛ have you made a gown for yourself ? ❜
