First attempt at cross-stitching a keychain! :D
Time Taken: ~8hrs total.
Materials (Ao3): Various embroidery floss (colors & brands vary, I chose what I thought looked best), 14 count white aida cloth, gold jumper rings & key-ring.
Materials (Pride Flags): Various embroidery floss (colors & brands vary, I chose what I thought looked best), 14 count plastic canvas, gold jumper rings.
Honestly, while I don't think using white aida cloth "ruins" the keychain, it is less rigid than plastic so if/when I put this on a bag I'd expect the fabric to bend a little at least, which could look odd. In the future I might look into using white plastic canvas or something.
I think the edges are, by far, the worst thing about this project. They're very uneven and look beat-up even though this is a new keychain (though it has been sitting in a drawer for like 2 weeks). If you look at my minecraft cake keychain (the post before this one), I think I at least improved since this project.
For the Ao3 logo and badges, I traced over each asset and turned that into a pattern.
