To everybody who follows gnobodygnome (Kevin)

Kevin disappeared all day today after saying he was maybe going to hospital. His mother DMd me on Twitter just now saying he is in very critical condition after having a seizure in the ER that led to his heart stopping due to some kind of infection that had left him lethargic for a while.

I have no idea if he's gonna live or die, but he does have ESRD and has been in need of a kidney transplant for a while now. This is obviously a tough time for his mum, dad, two kids and long-distance partner (me), especially at Christmas and having recently dealt with the theft of their car. If you are religious, please take time to say a prayer for him. If not, please think positive.

I will keep you updated as soon as I get more information.

And here by coincidence I have been writing a fan script where he comes out.

Though I don’t think anyone has tried to erase his LGBT identity ( except in that one OOC moment in that future episode) I feel that after some 25 seasons it should be time for him to come out.

To put it as I’ve read/heard it. Smithers was not originally “Coded Gay”, he was attracted to Monty Burns, and would have been regardless of Burns’s Gender, however after season 8, he LOST that aspect of his personality (Like many of the characters lost aspects after Oakley/Weinsten stopped being show-runners) and began to be written as “Closeted Gay” or at the VERY least an active Ally/Member of the Gay Community.

While I think having him “Come out” would be an interesting scene and a good plot…what do you do from there?

I'm thinking Burns comes out too, as bi. After all, he seems to have this rapport with Smithers which reeks of a certain sexual tension. They get married, making for an hi-larious latter-day Simpson plot where people start boycotting SNPP over this, and not the fact that it's a fucking NUCLEAR POWER PLANT WITHIN RANGE OF A GOOD-SIZED CITY.

POKEMON PLAYERS SPREAD THE WORD: Bug potentially related to ver. 1.3 of XY

Last night, I picked up my Y version to play after a few days break, mostly to download ver. 1.3 so I could get Diancie at Game. While playing a bit of it afterwards (which is why I assume it's related to the patch as it has never happened before), I noticed that I'd apparently done all my work for the day at Hotel Richissme, which I had done when I'd last played, but not yesterday. I also looked round the boutiques, and the item selections were exactly the same as last time I played. Day and night change normally.

While it might seem like a minor bug, it's apparent that day events will not occur, which can be catastrophic to berry growers (see http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Berry_glitch for a very similar glitch in RS) and those collecting the fashions.

I did make it known to Nintendo UK by tweeting them, but so far an acknowledgement is yet to be made so I will email them later. I want to know whether any other carts or download games were affected in this way. If you haven't checked, please check, and spread the word about this bug.
