And you know what! Hell yeah, let's talk about the crush framing of it all! I was so intrigued by how Beomseok was framed initially like he had a crush on Suho. It literally took me until now to say it with certainty because I was seeing other takes with this point and I was like oh I'm not crazy or seeing something that's not there! I use the word crush loosely because there's a million other words for what it is too but it is also simply that: a crush. Beomseok found Suho impressively strong, charming, brave, humble. Everything a "man" is "supposed" to be. Everything his father wants him to be. Beomseok looked absolutely smitten with Suho before everything shifted. I could write a think piece on how misogyny and patriarchy played a role in their relationship as well. Wanting to impress or be next to the "best" man in the room. Wanting his attention, wanting his favor. Even competing against women *cough* yeongi *cough* for favor and attention but I don't have all the right words.
