Motherhood: grabbed this pair when the “shoe drops” meant being online and logged on at 10am, the release time, wait for “coming soon” to become “available”, then hitting “order”. But wait — I get “Pending” which means I might not get it if there were a thousand or so more orders which might be ahead of me!!! Then finally, confirmation. Some 15-year-old will be relieved to know he’s getting it.. I hope. The rigors of online shopping for limited edition releases like this one.. we moms sweat it as if we were physically in line at the store. GothamChick Shopper Reboot

There are times when you get this bright idea, work hard to pull it together, then it loses steam because life takes you over.  Fortunately, I don't have much in this space so it's easy to deactivate previous posts and just start again.  And that's what I'm trying to do.

I want to be able to share bargains and tips and all things New York, without have to go through the hoops.  I want to show life as any ordinary person would live it -- and hopefully show you my world.  Don't you just love it when you stumble upon a gem of a product?  Or service that's above and beyond?  I know I am always happy to check out product reviews, or advertisements in the many magazines I never get to read when I do get the chance to browse their pages.  And yes, I do try some of those products when I feel like it.

But short of just letting you know about those sales, those products or places you would do well to go and visit -- more so here in New York -- I want to share the experience with you and tell my story.. or stories.

The truth of the matter is, I am a storyteller more than a shopper.  And there are so many stories to tell.  Like how you can walk the length and breadth of Fifth Avenue and have a dose of New York in a capsule tour.  Or what are those bagels that we always say you non-New Yorkers MUST try.  And what's with the hotdogs?  Of course, there's the New York Pizza -- and what is it that really distinguishes New York Cheesecake from the rest?  And fear not, the subway.

So I've trimmed down the posts and will rework the categories as they come.  A fresh start, it is.
