I'm becoming an aspiring voice actress, do you think one day we could do a collab with each other someday?
Well that's the funny thing, you keep at it, you end up workin alongside those who inspire ya! who knows! But i'm wishin you luck in your journey.
And givin some free advice.
1, Rejection ain't bad, and you'll get used to it, it's at worst a learning experience.
2. Get yer feet wet and dip your toe in with something light n fun, comic dubs w friends is a perfect place to start.
3. your voice is unique, and more often than not, your normal voice can get you casted.
4. Getting casted is a NUMBERS game as much as it is about your skill n Abilities, this goes hand in hand with the rejection bit. Don't ever let it get ya down! you put yerself out there, and it's a whole wide world! thousands of projects are lookin for people each day! you got this! always keep trying!
If a project seems to be goin sideways or devolving, and like, internal drama is a brewin and no progress is actually bein made. You ain't evil for dipping, just let em know ya have some other opportunities (even if its a lie.) abd get yerself outta there, don't get mixed up in business that ain't yours to deal with.
Gotta remember, these are people just like you runnin these projects. Just as flawed, just as possibly volitile. Do your best not to get mixed up in that, i speak on this cause early on i've been through that wringer, ain't no fun at all.
I've been really lucky lately, just about every project I've gotten in lately has been stellar, cast n crew, and project heads all.
(Clown n Huck in particular are absolute gems and i'm proud to be workin for em.)
