There are two kinds of people. Those who think, “I don’t want anyone to suffer like I did.” And those who think, “I suffered; why shouldn’t they?”
This is an important distinction.

‘If it’s all the same to you, I’ll have that drink now.’
fffffuck within all those mixed emotions is relief… you don’t feel relief if you fail something you truly wanted to do.
Yesss! Thank you. He’s visibly nervous—well, duh, he’s got six angry people cornering him, with one of them pointing a weapon in his face—but he’s also relieved. The hard part’s over now.
Also, there’s his face in the fourth gif. He’s hesitant, his eyes are flickering around. He looks like he’s listening…but not to the Avengers, who he doesn’t notice till the fifth gif. If he’s not listening to external things (like the Avengers), he has to be listening for something else, like…the Other in his mind. And then he realizes, he’s alone in his head now. He’s free of them. And he relaxes visibly in the last few gifs.
To motivate yourself to go forward, it can often help to look back at how you’ve come and all of the progress you’ve made.
The Nutcracker dance you’ve NEVER seen before!
fuckin amazing 👏🏾🔥
this is the kind of art I want to see in the world
watch it without sound and you still know when every note falls. That’s some Damn Fine choreography!
OMG, the smile on the guy in the middle. LOVE.
Pretty sure that’s Cyrus from SYTYCD and I love him
Honestly? The laughter is pissing me off SO MUCH.
This is so intricately choreographed to work perfectly with the music. You can see a story being told: although this particular song is from later in the ballet, the dancers are dressed as toy soldiers, and their motions go from blatant and machine precision to more fluid, more intricate, more subtle, as though they’re going from toy to human–just like in the ballet. If you said “this is the Nutcracker, tell me what’s happening here” I would tell you “this is the beginning of Clara’s dream.” There wouldn’t be a single question in my mind. It’s a different interpretation of it (this is clearly not ballet), but if you wanted to tell a contemporary Nutcracker with other forms of dance, I could only hope the majority of the show would be up to this standard. It is, very much, a near-perfect interpretation. (Why “near-perfect”? Because to make it work to its fullest potential they really need a bit more room, rather than being cramped in front of the orchestra.)
And they get laughter instead of applause.
Respect Black men. Respect Black dance. Respect Black art. Respect Black effort.
FUCKING APPLAUD THEM.
“What we hoped and discovered in previews would be the audience believing that that blow had been struck by Thor, actually having an intake of breath when they understand it is Loki.” — Kenneth Branagh, Thor (2011) Commentary
at this point you are just showing off.
How? How is it fucking possible to make stone look sheer?
I support this comic, if you dont want children everyone else can shut up and keep their opinions to themselves. I want children, but that doesnt mean I am going to force you to have them too.
I just realized something about Hiddles
No matter from what year you watch interviews with him,
he is still the same guy. Hasnt changed. Yep,he matured, what i mean is 2011 or 2019 interview - fame hasnt changed him.
Same humble, down to earth, intelligent, nice, honest man.
I love him to eternity.
He is so generous towards his fans, too. He treats people with kindness and respect. I got to briefly meet him at ACE comic con last year, and he tries to make sure he has made a special connection with each and every single fan. When he saw my Loki cosplay, we only had 5 seconds before the con security was telling me to step away, but Tom called after me and said “By the way, you look amazing!”
And the second time he saw me in my cosplay for the autograph signing, he called after me, and that time he made the distiction: “AGAIN, you look amazing!”
He has an incredible memory, and makes sure you know that he has SEEN and HEARD you. He is not like those celebs that don’t even regard you as a human being. He makes sure to, as best as he can, be present in those kinds of situations. And that’s what I think also makes him an impeccable actor. When he looks at you, he really looks at you. When you share the same space with him, he gives you his attention. They say in theatre, that your scene partner is THE most important person in any given scene. And this is just how Tom, I feel, carries himself in all of these types of interactions, because he *gets* the importance of the “awe principle.”
I’ll stop gushing now.
I was organizing my cluttered dropbox folder during my lunch break and came across this fairy from almost 2 years ago. It’s not finished but I was mesmerized by the colors and wanted to share. 🖖🏾 #illustration #fairy #blackfairy #blackgirlmagic #colorful #drawmoreplus #digitalart #art https://www.instagram.com/p/B1t4J2IgTV-/?igshid=3xfqhsfhze1m
