I think its a well-established fact at this point that the reason Zane gets brutalized so much and to such extremes is because they can afford to hurt so much worse since he doesnt have any blood or viscera to worry about. Zane can lose an arm or a leg or get killed 50 times, but since hes a robot none of that violence is graphic enough to change the rating. Not to mention its easy to rebuild him, so any harm he sustains wont dramatically shake the status quo.

And like, oh yeah im totally normal about it. Zane isnt human enough to be spared from brutality. The very writing of the show objectifies him in the way he fears most. Zane is afraid of losing his humanity, but on a meta level he never truly had any. And dont even get me started on the in-universe implications of this regarding to the Cloud Kingdom. This is fine. Im fine.
