so jungkook...
I have a lot of thoughts about this recent BTS fansign where k-armies âgiftedâ a grown ass 21 year old man (who, by the way, prides himself on his maturity, athleticism, and physiological development) with things like: baby bonnets, pacifiers, baby bunny plushies/blankets, etc.
I get it, a lot of armies think Jungkook looks like a bunny, think heâs the face of the ~babyboy movement, heâs the maknae and the BTS hyungs âraised himâ (Seokjin fed him at his teet, Namjoon taught him how to be a man, and Jimin buys him all of his favorite âbabyboyâ things), and he often has that confused deer-in-headlights stare going on. But likeâŠ.
NO lmao
I saw multiple videos and stills of Jungkook either cringing, rolling his eyes, or just flatout seeming disturbed by that baby paraphernalia (lol, baby paraphernalia). Of course he plays along a little but sometimes it just goes too far and he looks very uncomfortable. Itâs so weird how babied he is because I donât see it really with other maknaes. I actually see it more with any given BTS member than even, say, Yugyeom or actual child Jisung. Actually, thatâs messed up lmao. Grown ass Jungkook is more babied than a 17 year old boy..
Hell, even when Jungkook was a kid, it doesnât seem like the babying was as bad as it is now. Actually, Iâm pretty sure he was creepily oversexualized and people were making predatory countdowns until his 18th birthday.
That being said, I know itâs not universal, and not every Jungkook/BTS fan does this to him. But to the ones that do, please keep your âbabyboyâ fetish in your fanfictions. I could see if Jungkook begged people to do these things/expressed an interest in these things, but like, he hasnât..at least not to my knowledge. In fact, the only things Iâve really heard him talk about with sincere interest are filming/photography, boxing, weight-lifting, performing (of course), and things like that. When it comes to the bunny stuff, heâs made it very clear that he doesnât like being compared to a bunny all that much (kind of like how J-Hope doesnât like being compared to a horse) and heâs not like a bunny enthusiast or something. He also hates not being seen as a man (as opposed to weak little child). These are things heâs said out of his own mouth lol.
So yeah, to english-speaking armies, just think about the gifts you give or how you behave toward idols at fansigns. Itâs nice to appreciate them, and not necessarily creepy to find them âcuteâ in the baby kind of way, but some of them (like Jungkook) may not be very fond of that type of thing 24/7.
