Don’tcha get t’ meet all kinds’a people? No one’s caughtcher eye? ”

    “Wow, that sounds like such a drag. I’m sorry.” She lightly taps her fingers on the table. “Sure, I get to meet a lot of people, but it’s overwhelming, y’know? I gotta act all professional and stuff. But I guess there’s just pros and cons to every lifestyle, huh?” A small giggle.

“Caught my eye? Like... what?”

Well, Sonya’s not the worst person that could interrupt a Cuttlegear rendezvous, so… at least not enough of one for Soda to object.

Another sip of their coffee is cover enough for their expression to fall back into neutrality, free hand’s fingers drumming atop the notes they’d been reviewing.   “ Lucky you. Travelling so much, I mean. I thought I’d be doin’ more, myself. ”   A wry smile.   “ Guess it means lotsa gigs, though, huh? ”

    “It’s really exciting. Do you not get to travel much?” She looks Soda over. There’s something... off about them. Maybe they’re sad? “You know, if you ever get the time I wouldn’t mind bringing you with me on one of my business trips. It’d be nice to have a friendly face around. It gets kinda lonely sometimes... though I shouldn’t complain too much.” She waves her hand a little. Sonya’s job is a dream for many people, herself included. It just so happened that the dream came with a couple downsides.
