He recognized the voice immediately, noting he was at the wrong table but at least in decent company. He didn’t know Dae too much, but he’d consider him a type of friend of his despite that. Wen could tell he had been seated awhile when he looked back at him, he looked way too comfortable for it to be a temporary sit. “ Have you been sitting here all night?” He questioned, taking the glass of water he’d offered to him. “ Thanks.” Wen added quickly.
He took a drink from the glass, he was rather thirsty. The dance floor was hot and add actually dancing on it water wasn’t a bad thing to have right now. “ Exactly. I actually thought someone would be dead by know when they arrived.” He agreed.
He wasn’t really interested in the formalities of the wedding. He’d gone with Dohee for the sake of going (( and hopefully getting laid after )) but mingling? It wasn’t really his style. He didn’t want to dance, or talk to the bartenders and drunk guests. He was content to sit at his table by himself. He’d probably say hello to his brother before heading out with Dohee, but that was the most he planned on interacting with anyone. He gave Wen a shrug, “Been here a while, at least.”
“You know, you shouldn’t accept drinks from strangers, you never know what’s in them,” he offered some advice, though he had no plans of drugging Wen. (( Or drugging anyone, for that matter. )) Rocking his chair back and forth lightly, he replied “What wedding is complete without a death, am I right?”
Getting her into the car had been enough of a hassle-- more so because he didn’t want to make a scene than by her own resistance. Though there had been some, it was easily fixed by throwing her over his shoulder and buckling her into his car. The drive itself had been quiet, peaceful. Her address hadn’t changed since they’d been together, so he knew the way. (( Not because he was creepy or anything, but they’d been serious enough he’d practically been living with her at that point. )) He’d almost smoked the entire blunt he’d had in his pocket in the of the time it took to drive her there, something he absolutely needed. The night itself had been stressful enough-- and now he had to come to terms with the fact that he cared enough about Dohee’s well being that he’d driven her home. And then decided to stay the night to make sure she was alright. They weren’t even together, and it was just sad behavior on his part, but he just didn’t feel comfortable leaving her there by herself.
By the time he’d arrived, he was rubbing his eyes beneath his glasses, frustrated at himself. Turning the engine off, he exited his door, only to walk around to the other side of the car and open hers. Reaching across her torso to unbuckle her, he was careful not to wake her, sliding one arm beneath her legs and the the other under her back to lift her out of the car. He hit his head out on the way, unfortunately causing a little ash from his smoke to fall on her dress, but hopefully she wouldn’t notice in the morning. Besides, it was better his head than hers. Kicking the door shut, he told himself he’d lock it when he got back. It wouldn’t be easy to reach into his pockets and get his keys out. Carrying her up the steps to her door, he realized that he would have a difficult time getting into her place without keys, and he prayed there was still a spare in the bushes outside the window-- which there was. Carefully maneuvering her body so he could hold her weight on one arm, he plucked the keys from the bush and tried to unlock the door. Which definitely took time. But eventually got him inside.
Once more, he kicked the door shut behind him, dropping the spare keys on the floor carelessly so he could adjust her to a more comfortable position. The layout of her house had stayed the same, like her address, so he didn’t have a hard time finding her bedroom and laying her down on the bed. He’d come back to take her shoes off in a minute-- and maybe if she woke up get her into some pajamas. For now he had another plan. Leaving her bedroom, he headed to the kitchen, quietly rummaging around in her cabinets until he found a glass and filled it with water from the tap-- not the best to drink, but it worked. He took another few minutes to find a bottle of generic painkillers-- grateful she had some and he wouldn’t have to drive all the way to the store to get some. Bringing them back to her room, he sat down on her bedside, placing the water and pills next to her for the morning.
A heavy sigh left his lips as he contemplated waking her up to see if she wanted to change out of her dress, but instead he opted for undoing the straps around her ankles-- she could sleep in the dress but not the shoes.

Wen was never really the biggest party person, but that didn’t mean he was going to let the evening be something he regretted. Even with the awkwardness that the snakes had brought, he was trying to enjoy himself. He didn’t have too much investment in them, sure they had screwed them over, but his personal feelings towards them were more indifferent. They didn’t lean towards good or bad, just were neutral for the moment at least and it didn’t seem like they were going to destroy.
After a few dances with his sister, Wen decided to excuse himself letting Yeojin go back to her date, or really anyone she wanted. He wasn’t exhausted, but he thought maybe a little break wouldn’t hurt. He made his way to his table- or the table he thought was and sat down. “ This isn’t going too badly, yeah?” Wen asked the person sat next to him.
Dae had been keeping to himself for the most part, incredibly eager to please his date. (( If he didn’t impress Dohee, she wouldn’t want to fuck him, and he wasn’t going home without sex tonight. )) But, he wasn’t going to suffocate her. He’d been at his table for a while now, feet kicked up on the table, chair leaned back. He’d been keeping an eye on everyone else, curious to see what hell would break loose, but everything had been calm so far.
He didn’t mind that Wen had come to sit down next to him, he knew the guy well enough-- he was friends with his brother. Sliding a water his way, he figured he might be thirsty after dancing with his sister. “I guess it could be going worse, yeah. Someone could’ve died by now.”
