A simple tile platform raised from the hardwood floor in the main room designates the kitchen area proper and transforms this large area into functionally distinct spaces. The soft blue-green color tones that characterize the walls, ceiling, and cabinets for a gentle backdrop to the dark appliances and greenish black counter stools.

Standard commercial wall tiles have been used here by OKG Architects to create a restrained but elegant design for a fireplace wall. The stripe of the deep blue visually connects the area to the pale blue walls around the fireplace, while the grid of black and white tiles elegantly sets it apart.

This simple attic room has been painted in a very pale greenish blue, with a lighter tone used on the panels of the cupboard for depth and dimension. The wooden shelves, stripped woodwork around the window and varnished plaster at the back of the cupboard offset the cold, clean wall colour with their warm, rough textures.

maybe an unpopular opinion but cork wedges are one of the cutest shoes & i refuse to believe otherwise. i actually got myself a pair of those coach ones in black & i’m obsessed.
