after mapping out every scene of my entire novel i have finally accepted that when i sit down to start drafting it none of that is actually going to happen and i am just along for the ride

My ideal medium is you sitting down in my brain with a bottomless supply of popcorn and root beer to binge watch 8 seasons of this story that’s been in my head for years but I guess I’ll settle for writing it down

Affirmations for writers:

I will break the hearts of my readers (with the best intentions).

My characters can’t exact their revenge on me for the trauma I gave them.
