for ppl who haven’t caught on yet– Trudy’s intentionally works like a reverse-result slot machine, with less matching symbols getting you more points (”bad luck bonus”) and more matching symbols earning you less (”congrats!”). the story that goes with Trudy’s, is that an ixi with very poor luck used it and was rewarded with riches. it’s playfully being a reversal of the slot-machine concept! Slot machines usually reward you for being lucky, not unlucky. Since you always lose more than win, you make a lot from it.

it’s working on a mythos that if you have the ‘good luck’ that would earn you an all-in-a-row slot machine happenstance, it doesn’t feel you need the benefit of more winnings. Its a cute concept!

I don’t think Trudy’s is bad for the economy at all, when we previously had KeyQuest and Habi to make all that money (and both are shut down atm).

here’s a post explaining Trudy’s place in the site, and here’s a post discussing the hard figures, what users were making with KQ+Habi VS Trudy’s earning cap. It’s not putting any more money into circulation than we already had before :0 it’s a very average amount of monthly earnings, just acquired more simply to avoid straining the site…
