“I wasn’t naive, I knew exactly what I was doing.” Her obsession for attention had gotten the best of her, hell that was the very reason she was now a stripper. She had to be in the spotlight, she didn’t know how to live without being noticed. Laughing she nodded. “I mean, I kissed my dream goodbye for the meantime at least I’m sure at some point I may be able to go to the West End without a problem but I’ll never be able to go back to New York. Maybe I’ll join a tour company.” She shrugged. “I’m okay though, I have a job that I actually like and I’m making good money. I’ll be okay, I’ll always be okay.”
Quinn noticed how nonchalant the girl was and it was strange to her. Not in the sense that she didn’t believe Rachel-- of course, she believed her. She had no reason to believe she was lying. She just imagined herself in Rachel’s position and all she could see was herself breaking and not handling this with nearly as much grace as the brunette obviously was. Maybe that was a testament to how weak she was, she thought. “A tour company.” She repeated after the girl, a smile appearing on her face after a moment in response to Rachel’s infectious laugh-- despite her thoughts. “Well..It’s clear you like performing and I’m sure you’ll figure out how to get back in it all. “ She took a sip of her drink, clearing her throat before speaking again. “So what do you do now, then?”
