ThisâŚ
Wow this is a masterpiece
How inspirationalâŚ.
Great explanation.
pros of being an artist on tumblr: people enjoy your fanart
cons of being an artist on tumblr: people don't give a crap about art that isn't fanart
Honestly itâs so perplexing because I think tumblr assumes that body positivity is a movement thatâs already done and over with but seriously, no really, activists still really hate fat women. and Iâm not talking about sizes 12-16, Iâm talking 18+, the âobese girlsâ who have âno excuseâ and have âno redemption.â Bring up body positivity in a room full of white vegans and watch what happens. Ask some feminists, radical or liberal or queer, to support a fat woman who isnât wearing some primadonna lingerie and sitting a poised photoset waiting for your half-assed material consumption. Talk about the experience of gender nonconforming, nonwhite, disabled, minority fat women for more than five posts and watch your follower count plummet and bring it up in an activist space and listen to the âI donât promote unhealthy lifestyles, I donât know about this, I donât really think this is an oppression.â Talk to fat girls who are oppressed on more than one axis than their weight and ask them what they were bullied most for in school; their weight. âFat bitch, ugly fat girl, fucking fat head, sheâs so big.â Talk to us girls that arenât thick, curvy, or bodacious, who are just fat, lumpy, and existing in a large space. Stop assuming that itâs just clothes and no one finding us fuckable. People hate us, and contrary to popular belief, our fatness doesnât save us from being raped, sex trafficked, pimped out, and beaten. Our âuglynessâ isnât a safeguard. I just donât get it.Â
THIS A THOUSAND TIMES
This is incredibly important.
Damn.
WAKE ME UP (WAKE ME UP INSIDE)
#i am screaming because this doesnt even look like a parody like recent videos with this song#like this ACTUALLY looks like something that someone wouldve made seriously in 2007

A ghost ship filled with cannibal rats is floating somewhere off the coast of Scotland, ready to crash ashore and unleash its disease-ridden cargo of starving rodents. And it's all because Canadian authorities let the Soviet-era nightmare liner loose in the North Atlantic, satisfied that it was no longer a threat to Canada.
this ship was in st johnâs harbour for literal years and every time you drove by it would be tilting more to the side, like, to the point that everyone was afraid it would tip over. everyone wanted it gone but no one wanted to get in the frigging ship and sail it away because it was so infested with rats. anyways, i completely forgot about it so itâs good to know itâs still chugging away, infested with rats
could they not just sink the fucker

Wait, does rapper B.o.B. really think the Earth is flat â or is he trolling us?
After claiming to have watched Felix Baumgartnerâs famous Red Bull Stratos jump from the edge of space, recording artist B.o.B is furiously tweeting everything science says about the Earth being round is a total lie. Why is he doing this? We have an idea.
Follow @the-future-nowâ
Update: Neil deGrasse Tyson has joined the fray to lay the scientific smackdown on B.o.B.
Tyson sent the rapper multiple tweets disproving him and then things got personal.
Update: This feud is getting weirder and weirder. B.o.B released a new track âFlatlineâ on Monday, that takes a few shots at Neil deGrasse Tyson. âAye, Neil Tyson need to loosen up his vest,â the rapper spits. âTheyâll probably write that man one hell of a check.â
And then Tyson fired back with a diss track of his own. Really.
The astrophysicist enlisted the help of his nephew Stephen J. Tyson, who is apparently a rapper. Tyson delivers the facts at B.o.B. over a Drake beat.
Update: It got better. Neil deGrasse Tyson apparently wasnât done educating B.o.B. Hereâs what happened on The Nightly Show:
You need to hear the crowdâs reaction to this.
This is the greatest thing happening right now.
2016 gets crazier by the second.
a 90âs kid? donât you mean sad adult?
70,000 people have reblogged this but no one is trying to defend themselves
There is nothing to defend
#i read a post once that described 90s kids as the generation of nostalgia #because so much technological advancement happened in such a rapid timeframe when we were growing up #that we can clearly remember having technologies that are now obsolete #like going from a corded hugeass phone to a small computer in your pocket just within our formative years is a major thing #and it sparks a nostalgia for our seemly âsimplerâ childhoods #because so much rapid development makes it seem like it was a lot longer ago than it actually was (x)
This is the most solid explanation of our decade I have ever heard.
Oh my god
Just to add onto that, our childhood wasnât even technology based. We grew up knowing of chalk, skateboards, jump rope, street hockey, playgrounds, butterfly collecting, etc. Slowly technology took over our lives and now there are hardly kids playing outside in the summer. We can clearly remember our childhood as it was and now we can see the clear line between it. We were the generation right smack in the middle of it all. Our parents were of non-tech and our children/young siblings will be all tech.
Not to mention, ours was the last generation that grew up with all those bright promises of âwork hard, go to college, and youâll have a successful life,â only to find those hopes abruptly dashed when the housing bubble burst. Milliennials have grown up expecting that disappointment, because for them, the problem has been there since Day One.
So 90s kids arenât just nostalgicâŚweâre BITTER. And we ache for those days when we could still think that the world was boundless and full of the opportunities we were promised since the first day of kindergarten.
Every time someone adds to this i have to reblog.
This, exactly this.
