Was it difficult when the boys left for the Zero-XL mission to retrieve their father? You must have been terrified knowing all of them were going into space, and that something could have gone wrong. ❤️
Hello dear, thank you for the question. My, that’s a doozy!
I was immensely proud of them, of course. They were going because their father needed them, and if anyone could bring Jeff home, it was those boys.
But it was dreadful, I won’t lie to you. Not because I didn't trust them. I trusted them completely, I know how capable they were and I knew how much they'd trained, how carefully they'd planned.
A grandmother knows all of that and still thinks, but they're my boys. You all see them as grown men, as International Rescue, but to me they’re still just little boys and they always will be. They haven’t really changed!
I simply knew what it meant if they didn't come home. How could I comprehend losing all five of them, and our Brains (and almost Kayo too, I’m almost grateful she needed to stay)? They have been all I have for so very long now.
And what if they made it back, but without Jeff? Trying to console ourselves through his loss again would have been… unthinkable. They would have taken it so very hard, I’m not sure how we would have moved on from that.
And of course, having the Chaos Crew attack our home at the same time was… well, put it this way, I don’t want a repeat of any of it any time soon! And I am so very grateful that Penelope, Parker and Chris were here to help.
I’m just rather glad it is all in the past now, truth be told!
