Itās past lunch and the reason why I was able to write this post is because Iām sick and decided not to go to work today. -- Well, anyway, we went to Baguio this weekend and believe it or not itās my first time to go there. Ha! Really a first timer!Ā
Baguio Weekend Escapade -- December 02-04.
Weāve had so much fun during that short weekend escapade. Weāve almost spent the whole Saturday just roaming and trying some good restaus around Baguio. The first thing that we did that Saturday was to look for a good place to eat. SoĀ we had our brunch at Good Taste located near Burnham Park. Itās all our first time to eat on this restaurant, so we tried our best to order something nice so, weāve tried this Garlic Buttered Chicken (which is really really good), Sweet & Sour Fish Fillet & this rice which I couldnāt remember what they called it. (I know, Iām sorry! Itās so hard to visualize all these food since we didnāt take any photo of it! - You can Google the food though. Haha!) -- ofcourse, to complete the brunch, weāve ordered coffee to complete the brunch trip. Our tummies were all satisfied with the brunch that weāve had and whatās the best about the food that we ate is that itās cheap! We spent like around P160 per head with all the food that we had after our brunch, weāve decided to visit Burnham Park -- since itās near the place. As millennials of course, we didnāt let the chance to take photos around the area! Haha! It was fun though and eventually right after it, we went to the nearest ukay-ukay store.Ā To be honest, what I liked the most about out escapade was the ukay-ukay galore that we did. Though I wasnāt able to buy much stuff -- as expected, but my friends and I did enjoy looking for some good ukay stuff. Right after 2-hr ukay shopping that we did, we went to this place, which of course, I couldnāt remember the name but it has lots of horse in that place! (Oh, god, Iām really terrible at telling and writing my stories and experiences. Haha!) So well, yeah, anyway, again, as part of being millennials (yuck! haha!) we were able to take photos with the horses! PS: It was also my first time riding a horse. Haha!Ā After a tiring ukay & horse riding, we decided to have our merienda at this vegetarian restaurant calledĀ āOh My Gulay,ā if you personally know me, you know that Iām not the biggest fan of eating veggies but since the place is artsy and which also has a nice overlooking place, I had no choice but to stay with my friends and just enjoy what they can offer. We all ordered their different veggie pasta and one veggie sandwich. Since Iām not a fan of veggies, of course, I didnāt like the food that we ordered and to be honest, my friends didnāt too. So we just tried to have fun and take photos of the place.
Around 9PM, we were all tired of all the things that we did, but we couldnāt let our selves let the chance not to try the ukay-ukay night market!Ā Surprisingly, there are lots of good stuff! But we werenāt able to enjoy as much as we can since there are battalion of people also shopping and trying their best to look for best ukay-ukay goodies. Before we end our ukay trip, we tried the food which happens to be located at the exact area. There are various and assorted food like -- ihaw-ihaw, fishballs, kwek-kwek, sweet corn, noodles, siomai, sisig rice and etc. It was a tiring day for us but we managed to have a few drinks before we sleep.
We woke up a bit late so we werenāt able to follow our itinerary for Sunday. Since we were all tired, we decided to catch some good sleep from all our puyat nights. After we fixed our things and before leaving going to Manila, we bought some pasalubongs and sadly, we were notĀ able to have a good lunch since we rushed ourselves going to the bus station.
But overall, it was a memorable and fun weekend for me. And what I loved about that trip is that we were able to spent good quality time with each other. Endless laughters &Ā kwentuhan. I donāt think that 6-hr trip to Baguio-Manila is enough for all the kwentuhan and that 2-day trip also wasnāt enough for all the memorable and fun memories that we had. And I just wanna thank my special someone that we were able to spend quality time with each other during this short weekend escapade.Ā
