Aerialist law of Universal Gravitation: what goes up, must go higher!
Aerial warm-up/Improv to Symphony of Science Just playing around and this looks so much better than I thought. I think while dancing I felt a bit awkward but then once I went back and watched it, realize I look more graceful than I felt. It is weird how that works. :P
Working on those cup grip handsprings.
Headstands in the morning after yoga at Pennsic. Still working on getting up straighter...but I am still new to headstands.
Simple little combo on the aerial hammock that I've been really loving lately. Kind of like a "wine glass" I guess... at least that is what I've been calling it. ;-)
I love what I like to call "fun and interesting" granola. The Nuts About Granola company is one of my favorites. They always have great flavor combos that change seasonally. I discovered them at a festival a few years ago and I've been hooked ever since!
My duet with Regina at the Awakenings Spring Recital (Philadelphia)
Training at NECCA in lovely Vermont!
Been doing a lot of live performances lately but this one is actually letting me do something really fun! I need to start marketing myself as nerd + aerialist so I can keep doing nerdy creative stuff like I am for this gig. The routine I put together has been so much fun to do. If you are in the area, come see it live tomorrow!
Starting this spring/summer I am determined to start getting back into pole. Aerials have made me stronger and more flexible. I think I'm ready to take my pole skills to the next level. :-)
I got my leg way up here! Still needs work but better than I thought.
Also took an aerial yoga class while I was down in Florida at Studio Zero G. I can't sit still, even on vacation, I still like to keep up with my training. So happy to see so many great aerial studios near Orlando.
Took a class at the Orlando Circus School and finally nailed my splits across the hoop! Yay!
Cut off the bottom of a men's XXL tee in a half-circle shape and made myself a new workout tee. ;)
It is one of those days.
I am feeling so frustrated with my inability to nail some if these moves on the aerial hoop. I worked at it for nearly two hours already today until I finally had to give up. It is just not happening today.
Back from vacation...and let me tell you, it is VERY hard to eat healthy on a cruise ship. Starting today, I am on a juice/soups/light food diet. I need to get my energy level up to where it was...and find my abs. Erg.
Have you ever done something and while you're doing it you think you look terribly awkward and clunky but in fact it's perfect? This is the first time I've seen myself do this particular split on the hoop. Before this I always assumed that I was very far from getting a good split. But it looks like my stretching regimen is paying off! I can't believe how good this looks!
