"Ohhh, THE Fourth of July... we learned about this in history class, but I was unaware that there was such a raucous celebration held on the anniversary of the declaration."
The shaman presses their pointer finger against their chin.
"I would have thought that there'd be a holiday on the day independence was actually won...? That's how it usually is for my neck of the Americas, at least."
Violeta nods in understanding, reminded once again why she respected and admired Superboy so much. If circumstances allowed, she would have loved to be friends, though she knew they were worlds apart.
"Ah, I don't think I'll be celebrating... I'm actually cat-sitting. Poor Silks has been really stressed ever since John..." she trails off, then shakes her head, "Anyways, the fireworks are freaking her out. I should stay hom- uh, with her to make sure she doesn't run away or hurt herself."
She blinks a few times, barely processing the last little detail.
"I'm sorry, did you say Tuesday? This whole party keeps going for days???" Violeta scoffs incredulously and shakes her head. And she thought her people were crazy about parties.
"Ah, thanks anyway for explaining, Superboy," She says his name slowly, unsure if she was saying it correctly. Man, she was so awkward around supers.
"...And good luck out there! I wish there was something I could have done to help."
Wari really did regret being unable to do more. Superboy seemed so kind and genuine. A servant to the community just like her.
