Halloween is my favorite time of year, but I always see people struggling or doing something that could hurt them so as your make up artist gay uncle I want to make sure you at least have some knowledge!
DO NOT USE ACRYLIC PAINT ON YOUR SKIN
DO NOT RIP OFF PROSTHETICS
FOR THE LOVE OF GOD REMOVE LATEX WITH OIL DONT JUST RIP IT OFF TRUST ME
ANYTHING YOU ARE GLUING TO YOUR FACE DO NOT RIP IT OFF
If you can't afford body paint or can't get it, eyeshadow with mixing liquid, water, or setting spray
"Nontoxic" does NOT mean skin safe, skin safe is different make sure it says SKIN SAFE
Eyelash glue is basically the same thing a liquid latex if you don't want to buy it (just make sure it is the squeeze tube kind, I don't know how brush on would work)
Do not glue anything sharp or pointy to yourself
Do not use a sharp tool to "cut" the latex, gel or silicone, use something with a blunt edge. Lowers the risk of hurting yourself and produces a more organic wound
Not all fake blood is mouth safe
THERE IS A HUGE DIFFERENCE!!!!!! If you're not sure if your fake blood is mouth safe assume it isn't. A lot of placed sell mouth safe and edible blood but it's also very easy to make (chocolate syrup + red food coloring, syrup, corn syrup, etc. Anything thick)
Don't use lip liner as eyeliner, just no
If you're having a hard time removing make up coconut oil will save your life and a lot of scrubbing
DO NOT USE SUPER GLUE FOR ABSOLUTELY ANYTHING YOU ARE DOING PUT IT DOWN CHILD! PUT! IT! DOWN!
