Roommate Lesson One: Don't Leave Your Door Open
Summary: Ryland and Simon have been living as roommates on Erid for some time now. What happens when, in a moment of human stupidity, Ryland walks in on said roommate rubbing one out?
Warnings: slightly nsfw, nothing detailed just the act of masturbating
DNI: 18+, minors DNI
A/N: Okay so this honestly started out as "oh, I just wanna write a silly one-shot" but now I'm actually planning for this to be at least a 3 part story so uh apologies for that
Ryland sat in the living room, the air full of remnants of Simon's greenery. He sighed as he tapped his pen on his desk. His eyes scanned the room, taking in the cluttered mess. The way his notebooks, filled with pages of scientific discovery, piled over almost any available surface, barely leaving any room for plates, food, or even drinks. His own mess a stark contrast to the way Simon's plants were placed strategically and carefully around the house, even a couple of hanging plants that vaguely resembled ferns, just if they were a shimmery copper instead of a lush green.
In addition to those that were hung with care, on the windowsill sat Simon's houseplants, three in a row. The middle plant resembled a strange combination of a rose and a lily, colored a dusty pink with gold flecks inside. On the right was a collection of Eridian mushrooms, resembling inkcap mushrooms from Earth. Finally, on the left was something that looked almost like a bonsai tree. Ryland squinted, side eyeing the plants. They brought more attention to his neglectful house care habits and he knew it.
With a click of his tongue, he rolled his eyes, swiveling his body and directing his attention to his makeshift computer. Next to it sat wires, slightly frayed at the ends with blue and red cords splitting this way and that. To the left of the computer was a graveyard of empty mugs, the only one that had any semblance of a digestible liquid in it sat at the far end of the desk, condensation from the, previously hot, drink steadily dripped onto the floor.
Plop. Plop.
Ryland's eyes scanned the computer, hurriedly placing his pen down. The crimson pen rolled off the desk, falling to the ground with a clatter. The scientist paid it no mind. He was too focused. Too absorbed in his world, in his work. He was currently working on cross breeding more Erid plants for Simon. Ryland tapped his chin, pursing his lips as he studied the information in front of him.
Simon hadn't asked for it. That was the worst part. Ryland was doing this of his own free will. It made something twist inside him. He couldn't tell if it was a warm, fluttery feeling or a sick, churning one. Ryland knew he enjoyed Simon's presence. The man had been on Erid for about one Earth year now. He had been found in the SM-13, floating around an Erid moon. The Eridian astronauts brought him down and from there Rocky was scrambling to let Ryland know they had found another human.
It had taken some time, but the two had finally started finding their rhythm once they had hit around the 6-month mark. Initially, Simon had his own space in Erid. He wasn't particularly fond of the idea of being on a planet with strange rock creatures and an overly awkward school teacher.
To be fair to Simon however, Ryland was also initially wary of the strange man. For the first week, he was on high alert. Always double checking his windows and door, he had barely left the house until week 2 when Rocky practically dragged him out because, "Grace cannot stay cooped up inside. Pebbles miss seeing you outside of class. Rocky miss seeing you out of the house." In his defense, the first time he'd met Simon, the guy was stoic, had ripped his own arm off, and had layers of teeth along his face. Overall, Grace did not get super friendly vibes. Admittedly though, he was curious about Simon. He always chalked it up to scientific interest. After all, it's not every day you find someone who came from something called a "blood ocean."
After that, Ryland tried to get over the stress of sharing a planet with a man who had murdered 62 people.
Once Rocky made more of an effort to drag Ryland out, he wound up talking to Simon more, getting to know him. Much to Ryland's relief, Simon definitely didn't fit what he'd categorize as a cold-blooded murder. Then again, he figured, most murderers don't seem that way. Regardless, over the course of a few months, Ryland had learned about Simon in ways he'd never learned about any other human. He'd learned that while Simon was busy avoiding everyone, he had actually studied and learned about the plants on Erid. Ryland realized that he could listen to Simon rant about plants for hours. It was all for scientific study though. Nothing more, nothing less. Obviously.
In his conversations with Simon, he had also discovered that the mutations on his body responded to emotions, body temperature, and chemical reactions in the brain. Ryland had spent so many hours studying away at Simon's mutations, he had at least 3 notebooks full of his findings; front and back! At first, Ryland found them strange, now he looks at them like they were the most complex set of molecules he'd ever laid his eyes on. Researching them made his heart race. It didn't mean anything though. Most research made Ryland's heart race, so he didn't think about it too much.
After their bond continued to grow, Ryland eventually got Rocky and the Eridians to help build Simon a greenhouse, full to the brim of all of the plants in Erid's botanical ecosystem. Ryland had even offered for him and Simon to be roommates. He was always more on the solitary side, but after being on the Hail Mary with Rocky, Ryland hated being home alone. Plus, Rocky had built in a couple extra rooms. Ryland had brought up the strange design choice to the Eridian of course, to which he had explained that it was for sleepovers.
Ever since then, Ryland had been battling his feelings. He never knew what to do with romance. He was great at flirting and he knew, but the caveat was that he couldn't do it on command.
Ryland ran a hand through his hair, the blond locks soft on his hands, quite the contrast from the way his heart was speeding up with his thoughts.
"Why am I even thinking about flirting?" He questioned incredulously, his voice filling the empty room. He bit on the inside of his cheek, rolling the soft flesh between his teeth, a nervous habit he'd picked up. "That's ridiculous. I should be focusing on how to breed new plants. That's where my mind should be."
He spun out of his chair, the wooden legs scraping the ground as it slid away from the sheer force of the human rising. Ryland made his way over to where the pen had rolled, picking it up and giving his head a few quick taps, as if he were trying to recollect his thoughts and this was the only way he knew how.
Ryland's eyes scanned the room, searching for anything to distract himself with, since clearly his research wasn't working. His eyes landed on a pile of dingey clothes on the floor. They had to have been there for at least 3 days now, sitting idly by the couch that Rocky had custom made just for Ryland.
"Perfect!" He exclaimed to himself, quickly making his way to the couch, scooping up the pile of clothes in his arms.
Once he procured the clothes, he carefully made his way to the washing machine, placing the clothes on top of the dryer next to it. He opened the washer, and found that Simon had already put his own clothes in.
Ryland sighed, pacing around in front of the laundry machines. He knew the fix was to just move Simon's clothes to the dryer. That wasn't difficult. It was the fact that Ryland was overthinking again.
"If I move the clothes, would he be upset that I moved them without asking? What if he was planning on moving them later, and now I've thrown off his routine for the day?" Ryland brings his hand to his face, lightly tapping at his lips in thought, his glasses hanging on by the ear, as he tended to have them. He paused his pacing and narrowed his eyes at the pile of wet clothes clumped together in the washer. "Then again, if he gets upset at that, is that really my fault? I mean, he did just leave them here." Ryland tilted his head, lips pursed in thought.
"Okay, okay. I'll move his clothes to the dryer, but I'll go let him know first," Ryland decided, turning on his heels and striding down the hallway.
Ryland's room was the first door you'd see when you go in the hallway, meanwhile Simon's room was all the way down the other end of the hall. As Ryland made his way through the house, he noticed that Simon's door was open. He paused as he stood in the halfway point of the hallway, raising an eyebrow with a curious look.
Simon hardly ever had his door open. As he had gotten more comfortable, he'd grown more accustomed to doing it, but it still threw Ryland off when he saw it. It was something he couldn't even bring himself to do, so he usually wound up ruminating, trying to figure out why Simon would be comfortable enough to even attempt it.
He shook his head, brushing his thoughts off and walking to the end of the hallway.
"Knock, knock!" he swung his body in through the door, holding onto the doorframe for support without waiting for an invitation. "I just wanted to let you know that I'm..." Ryland trailed off, his eyes landing on Simon as he sat in his bed, face flushed red and shirtless. His bottom half was covered by his blanket, but it was painfully obvious that Simon's hand was under the covers, its movements halted as his brown eyes snapped to Ryland's face. "...sorry!" Ryland squeaked out, eyes wide and full of shame.
Simon opened his mouth. Closed it. Opened it again. Closed it again. He narrowed his eyes at Ryland, his heart hammering in his chest but desperate to keep the situation somewhat under control.
"What happened to 'boundaries,' Grace? You not know how to wait to be invited into a room?" he looked away from Ryland, turning his gaze to the corner of the room, still able to keep Ryland in his sight but not directly in his line of vision.
Ryland's hand flew to his face, covering his eyes in one swift motion, his face heating up and flushing to a red that would put the blood ocean to shame. His heart was going to leap out of his chest, he just knew it.
"Sorry, sorry! I just...I wanted to let you know that I'm doing a load of laundry and I'm going to move the clothes you put in the washer to the dryer," he rambled, stumbling over his words, laughing nervously as he spoke. He couldn't get the image out of his mind, even with his eyes covered. The sight of Simon shirtless, his face a specific shade of red. His mouth had even been slightly opened. There was no noise coming from him, but god what Ryland would do to hear the noises Simon could make. He had seen the tent in the blanket. Of course he had. From the outline, Simon looked big. Maybe six and a half or seven inches.
'Why am I thinking about that!? That's not a detail I should be jotting down!' Ryland mentally scolded himself, ignoring the way his face was heating up even more. Stupid human functions.
Simon narrowed his eyes, staring at the corner like it had personally wronged him. "And you thought it was important to let me know this...why?" his voice was strained. Like it was taking everything in him just to continue this conversation with hitting something or pulling the covers over his face until Ryland left. "Why would you not just move the fucking clothes and let me know later?"
Ryland hesitated. "...I hadn't thought about that. And your door was open, so..."
"So, you just invited yourself in? Mister 'We Need to Set Boundaries in Place if We're Going to be Rooming Together' saw a door open and decided he could just fucking waltz in?"
"That's not what I mean! Look, I'm sorry I walked in on...this, but I have done what I came here to do, and now I'm going to go back to my research and you can do whatever it is you're doing," Ryland said quickly, trying his best to play off the situation. He spun back around, uncovering his eyes and marched through the house back to his cluttered desk, practically throwing himself into the wooden chair before focusing all his attention on the botany research in front of him, the laundry still on the machines, long forgotten in Ryland's mind now.
After about 15 minutes, Ryland heard shuffling in the hallway, the aggressive slam of opening and closing the laundry machine's doors. Something twinged in Ryland's chest and he ran his hands through his hair. Of course he had forgotten to switch the laundry. It was the entire reason he had even gone to Simon's room, and he completely spaced on it.
He heard Simon's door close with a slam.
"So much for that comfortability..." he muttered to himself, rolling his eyes and scoffing at his own behavior. "Should've just waited for him to answer you. Why didn't you wait?" Ryland groaned, leaning back in his seat with his hands over his head.

Bloodymary is amazing but I say we shove a few more weird space guys in there. Especially Watney. Biologists and their weird bloodsoaked fish-tree mutant they really really wanna explore. For science. Bloodypotatomary.
Rocky does NOT care. You talk shit you better be ready to eat shit.
I know Adrian can technically see them but Im choosing to believe that this happens so often that Adrian has learned to tune it out.
Can we have more feral, angry Ryland Grace please???
So many fics, especially where heâs shipped with someone tough or powerful or mean, make Grace out to be this sunshine boy capable of no wrong. Fuck that! Manâs bettered himself, sure, but heâs got anger issues! He breaks things! When spooked, he goes on defensive FIRST, runs second. He was ready to fight an alien with a wrench!
Ryland Grace has been alone most his life. He values his own life, and that can make him cowardly. But the second he has someone he cares about? Man is ready to GO!
Canon: Have a Grace that is willing to throw down with another eridian before realizing itâs a bad idea. Have him verbally eviscerate some jerk politician or fellow scientist, human or eridian. Have him ready to leap to Rocky and Adrianâs defenses without a second thought. Have him be Strattâs secret attack dog that can tear someone to metaphorical pieces with a barrage of insults.
Canon (or not) still a teacher: This man would fistfight someone if he thought they were abusing any of his kids. He has access to chemistry equipment and he WILL use that in the case of an attack. He has definitely chewed out parents during parent-teacher conferences, especially in his early years.
has this been done
guys please slow down if he sees this iâll crash out

Bloodymary brainrot so strong I just accept them meeting as a canon event. Like yeah. Thatâs the epilogue of phm and iron lung. Yâall didnât know?
Grace is NOT sick, paranoid, and unhealthily obsessed with the iron lung or the substances inside of it, whatever gave you that idea haha... and he's definitely not doing anything weird with the blood ocean samples either
Fan art for @atimesfeeler's bloodymary fic, Leftover Light, chapter 12. There are sooooo many good scenes in this fic that I would love to draw, but I thought this one from the most recent chapter was silly and drew it.
Original line + small ramblings below:
starting a collection of deleted scenes grace panty shots for the common good
Okay but teacher Grace on Erid having very little say in which kids get filtered into his class, though he is aware that the selection process is super specific and that most of the kids he gets are high performers with star academics and some even with influential parents. He isn't quite comfortable enough with Eridian culture yet to object to the selection process and make it more inclusive, however. That is, until he learns about the special needs kids.
Obviously, there are Eridian kids with special needs, and a few of them even filter into his classes. But one specific type of special needs kid has never shown up in his classes, and the only reason he even learned of the condition is because Rocky and Adrien's first pebble has the condition.
It's initially quite a struggle for them to deal with, and Grace sympathizes of course, because the child will apparently have huge learning and academic struggles and will likely never be able to live on their own. That is, until he learns the details of the disability.
Basically, it's a condition where the part of the Eridian brain that gives them their eidetic memory isn't fully developed, and so these kids just... can't remember things the way most eridians do. And in a culture where an eidetic memory is the norm, all things cater to that, so not having that is actually a massive disability.
But Grace is like, so... this kid just learns the same way a human does, or something like. Which is nothing new to him, though he is somewhat boggled at how much Rocky and Adrian struggle with their infant and their "slow" learning curve, even as far as initial developmental stages. Grace, on the other hand, simply treats the kid the same way he would a human infant, and Rocky and Adrien are impressed with his patience.
But, through this, it occurs to Grace that there must be other kids out there with this disability who likely aren't getting the attention and chances in life that they deserve, because Eridian culture is particularly hostile toward this disability, and actively views those with it as unable to function in regular society.
So Grace demands that a special course be put together where he teaches kids with this disability specifically. Rocky is hesitant, as most kids with this disability are home schooled and kind of... kept shut away. But Grace insists and as one of Erid's saviors, he gets what he wants eventually.
His first class is super small, maybe only three kids because so few parents were willing to advertise that their children have this disability. And because of the stigma around it, even those who agreed to it are super unsure and want to be present during the lessons, perhaps paranoid about the impression it will leave on Savior Grace, who is so accustomed to only teaching the most gifted students.
But Grace knows exactly how to deal with these kids. Some of them have varying degrees of function when it comes to their memory banks, which isn't so unlike teaching kids on earth. And so Grace is able to introduce all these tools and teaching techniques that were previously unheard of on Erid (though very normal on Earth) like having textbooks for reference with you at all times and having strategies that are less focused on memorization for understanding, and providing these kids with tools like calculators and teaching them the art of taking notes to look back on, etc etc.
Suddenly, with all these tools that most Eridians don't need, these kids are learning at a much faster rate, and succeeding with the help of all their little tools. And because so many normal eridians are ignorant of Grace's actual biology, it's shocking to them that Savior Grace doesn't have an eidetic memory either (shocking to everyone but Rocky anyway)--that his brain functions quite similarly in capacity to these "disabled" children.
Once this news gets around, suddenly there's more kids in his special classes, and there's all kinds of discourse being inflamed because the real reason these kids can't live on their own or function is lack of support from Eridian society.
If Savior Grace, who is well respected as a genius in his own right amongst the Eridians, can function so successfully, they why can't these kids?
I dunno, I just think it's an interesting premise.

Noble Steed
College!Bloodymary Pt. 4!
Simon and Grace had been going on dates for a few weeks now, and while everything was definitely still too shiny and new to tell, Grace found himself enamored with Simonâs kind and earnest nature. He did these little things that turned Grace on so much, like when he lifted Grace in a hug despite being two inches shorter than him, how the exposed skin of his lower stomach looked when he stretched, and the way he spoke to Grace so sweetly. So naturally, Grace was very happy that Simon was getting more confident in asking for things he wanted. Specifically, when he wanted Grace. When just a couple weeks ago it was a shy, barely murmured out question, now it was Simon kissing Grace down his neck and whimpering at the feel of Graceâs skin under his shirt until Grace got the memo, which was pretty damn quick. He just hoped he didnât feel this way much more than Simon felt about him. . . .
Grace and Simon⊠Simon and Grace. Simon Fischer Grace. Fuck it, Simon Grace and Ryland Grace. A cat. A beanbag. Houseplants. An apartment with thick enough walls that the neighbors wonât be able to hear when Grace makes Simon come so hard that heâs-
âHey, would you want to try something?â Grace was currently braiding a little section of Simonâs hair when the idea came to him, the two of them sitting on Simonâs bed. Simon loved it when Grace did this, so he did it quite often when they hung out together. Was it considered hanging out when they were dating? Simon wasnât so sure about all the conventions in the college dating scene.
âYes,â Simon agreed without a second thought, turning his head to look at Grace.
Grace laughed, âyouâre supposed to want to hear what the something is before you say yes.â
âBut I do want to try something with you. And Iâm sure Iâll like whatever you wanna do,â Simon supplied, helpfully adding a kiss to Graceâs cheek for good measure.
Grace smiled and looked away. How the fuck did he manage to land such a sweet guy?
âYouâve heard of riding right?â
Simon paused, âlike ⊠in a ⊠sexual way?â He had to guess.
Grace seemed a bit caught off guard by the question, making a face that was half almost-laugh and half bewilderment. Grace knew Simon was inexperienced, but riding was pretty common to see in porn and even some movies, right?
âAh yeah, wait- have you ever watched porn?â
Simonâs face grew red âuhhhh I had really strict parents growing up and barely any access to the interweb or TV.â
Grace made a face, âJeez, did you grow up in Alcatraz or something?â
Simon laughed nervously, it looked like he didnât know how to respond to that.
Grace looked at Simon for a moment before kissing his cheek, âit doesnât matter. I knew you were innocent, I was just wondering.â
Simon furrowed his brows, âIâm not⊠Iâm not innocent, Ry. I uh⊠I donât know what made you think that.â
Graceâs eyes widened, âno no no- I meant just like in sex! I didnât mean to offend you or anything- are you okay?â
Simon tried to shake off that strange feeling in the pit of his stomach.
âRy⊠I have some things to tell about how I⊠how I grew up.â
. . .
âYou were in a cult?! Oh my god, did you ever see like sacrifices or anything? Is that why you had to escape?!â
Simonâs eyes were saucers, âoh god, no, it wasnât that kind of cult. Nobody got sacrificed, I mean- sure there were some shady things going on and my family was really poor because we could barely pay the church dues and feed two parents and three boys, but nothing like that, I promise,â and when Simon realized he actually couldnât promise something like that because he truly didnât know, he added a quick, âI think.â
âSo your parents⊠they never let you watch TV, get those tween magazines, nothing like that..?â
Simon shook his head, âI wasnât even allowed to go to public school. My parents just stuck me at church with the other kids in the commune and this guy would come in and tell us all the ways we werenât allowed to sin and how to live holy lives or something.â
Grace looked astonished, âthatâs⊠so sad. I mean, thereâs so many things you missedââ Grace stopped himself from finishing that sentence.
âMissed out on, yeah. But I think thatâs why I worked so hard to get to college. I had to claim homeschooling and take a lot of tests,â Simon chuckled, but it was clear the noise was mostly just nerves. This was the first time he had explained the whole cult thing to someone at university. Usually he just explained away his lack of understanding references or social cues with âstrict parentsâ and that was the end of it.
âWell⊠thank you for telling me, Simon,â he put a hand on Simon's, his thumb rubbing over Simonâs knuckles as a small comfort.
âYeah⊠I just donât want anything to be like, hidden, you know? And if thereâs things I donât know or havenât experienced, now you have a reason why,â Simon chuckled at the end of his words, but there was clearly some embarrassment in how out of the loop he was compared to his peers, compared to his Grace.
Grace thought for a moment.
âWe could fix that, you know. All the things you missed, I mean- Iâd love to take you to an amusement park, or a concert, Iâve had some of my best memories in the places you werenât allowed to go as a kid,â Grace scooted closer to Simon so that their knees touched.
Simon stopped dead in his tracks, âyou would⊠you would do that..?â
Grace smiled, âof course. These things make really cute dates too, so itâs a win win!â
Overtaken with emotion, Simon leaned forward and kissed Grace with such eagerness he nearly tackled the blonde. When he pulled back, he was smiling, âno oneâs ever offered to do that for meâŠâ
Grace, who couldnât help but smile back at the beautiful man before him, pecking him on the nose, making Simon blush at the sweetness of it all.
âWell, thereâs a first time for everything, right?â
Simon smiled, âyeah⊠speaking of first times⊠Iâd uh, Iâd like to try that thing you were talking about earlier. Uh- if you want,â his cheeks grew redder simply talking about it, yet another thing on the long, long list that Grace found cute about Simon.
Grace kissed Simon deeply, hand slipping beneath Simonâs shirt to cup his chest. God, it was such a beautiful thing to feel up Simonâs tits, the soft flesh giving easily under his fingers.
Simon made a little noise at the attention to his chest, melting into the touch.
âOff?â Grace said softly as he pulled himself away from the kiss.
Simon complied immediately before tugging at Graceâs shirt, helping it off him.
âDo you know how seriously pretty you are?â Grace said as he straddled Simon, unbuttoning his pants.
Simon blushed and smiled, âuh⊠I mean, not really..? Not since you started telling me.â
Grace lifted himself up so he was hovering over Simon, before shimmying Simonâs pants down past his thighs.
âWell, you are. And I checked the classes for your major, youâre smart, too. What a combo,â Grace palmed at Simon through his boxers, though there was really no need to as he was already fully hard from Graceâs actions and words.
Grace slipped his pants off and tossed them somewhere on Simonâs floor, leaving himself in nothing.
Yeah, Grace was kind of hoping for things to turn out this way. Could you blame him?
Simon slipped his hands down Graceâs sides, the right one wrapping around Grace gently, making the blonde buck up into his hand.
âYouâre the pretty one,â Simon said softly, tilting his head up to kiss Grace once more.
Grace twitched in Simonâs hand, not wanting to come undone so quick but it was hard with how adorably hot Simon was, seemingly without even trying! It wasnât fair!
âYou should lay back,â Grace said, a hand square in the middle of Simonâs chest.
Fuck, what a rack.
If Grace were a weaker man he would ask Simon to motorboat him. Knowing Simon, he might just agree.
Hm⊠better not.
âOh, yeah, okay,â Simon scooted back further on the bed, Grace still on top of him, letting out a startled laugh as he had to hold onto Simonâs shoulders to keep from falling off him.
âOh shit- sorry,â Simon realized his mistake but calmed down when he saw how funny Grace found it.
âItâs okay, Si, it was cute. Do you have any lube?â
Fuck.
Where would Simon even buy that?!
Fuck fuck fuck.
âI uhâŠâ
Yeah, Grace kind of figured. But it was okay, because he was nothing if not smart. And smart people thought ahead.
âI have some in my bag, donât worry. I was just wondering,â he gave Simon a peck on the cheek before climbing off of him, walking to his backpack and rummaging through it to find the bottle he had packed for just this occasion.
From here, Simon got an excellent view of where his dick was going to be soon, and it made him feel giddy and nervous in the best possible way.
What a wonderful ass.
âI can feel you staring,â Grace said with his back still turned to Simon.
Simon tensed up and looked away as Grace walked back to him.
âItâs okay, you can look. Thatâs part of the fun, right?â Grace straddled Simon again, slipping Simonâs boxers off.
âYeah⊠I guess I just feel ah⊠perverted..?â Simon smiled awkwardly.
âWhy?â
âUh- I think the religion and the shame had a lot to do with iiiit- fuck! Shiii-iit, Ryland,â Simon was cut off by a warm hand wrapping around him, already lubed up generously.
âYou think itâs because no one ever taught you about sex?â Grace asked casually, outwardly unaffected by Simon panting underneath him.
âWha- ahhh, what?â Simon was dumbfounded by how Grace was trying to continue their conversation. Wasnât this the part where the talking usually ended?
âOr maybe itâs another reason I havenât guessed yet. Is there some unknown factor I havenât considered?â Grace ran a hand through Simonâs hair, slowing his pumps enough that he was painfully eager, but not ready to combust quite yet.
âAm I- am I supposed to answer..?â Simon murmured pitifully.
Grace clearly just loved seeing Simon a mess.
Okay, maybe thatâs enough torture for now, though. After all, Grace wanted Simon inside him just as much as Simon did.
âNo, donât worry about it, baby. Do you want to prep me?â
Simon nodded. Fuck, yes he did.
Grace squeezed out some lube onto Simonâs fingers, spreading it around with his own to help him out a little.
âStart with one, then after a little while you can add another, okay? Go slow,â Graceâs voice was soft, as it usually was when he gave Simon instructions. Not because he thought he was dumb, no far from it, but rather because he had a feeling Simon hadnât been talked to so nicely in his life. Grace was more than willing to fix that.
Simon nodded and reached around, sliding a finger inside and growing excited at the face Grace made. He slid it in and out a few slow times before adding another.
Fuck, Simonâs fingers were thicker than Graceâs. And more calloused. It added a certain drag that made Grace a little dizzy.
âGood, good job, sweetheart,â Grace panted out, only encouraging Simon to move his fingers a little faster.
âYouâre so pretty,â Simon kissed at Graceâs collarbone, his prosthetic hand rubbing gently up and down Graceâs side.
âFuck me,â Grace moaned, taking Simonâs fingers out of him and lining himself up with Simonâs cock.
Simonâs breathing grew heavier as he felt Grace slide down slowly.
âRyland⊠fuckâŠâ Simon now held both of Graceâs hips, struggling not to buck up into him as he squeezed his eyes shut.
âLook at me, baby,â Grace said softly, fingers caressing Simonâs cheek, tracing his brow bone, just admiring the man beneath him.
âI- yeah, shitâ Ryland youâre so- fuckâŠâ Simon was trying his best to dirty talk back to Grace but it was not working. He was left speechless by the man.
Grace looked absolutely stunning on top of Simon. If there were any question whether or not the blonde was an angel, this squashed any doubt completely.
Graceâs little gasps as he bounced down on Simonâs weeping cock were music to Simonâs ears, Simon babbling incoherent praises as he watched himself disappear inside Grace for a few mesmerizing moments only to be once again captivated by the lovely expressions of pleasure that came onto Graceâs face.
Simon would also like to come onto Graceâs face.
Holy fuck, where did that come from?!
It was true though.
The grip Simon had on Graceâs hips stayed gentle, even as he wished he could just slam Grace down on him, but he refused to ruin a wonderful thing with his brutish instincts. He would be better. He would be-
âFuuu- holy shit! Fuck!â Simon sobbed and arched his back almost fully off the bed as Grace clenched around him, squeezing his eyes shut as tears streamed down the sides of his face, falling past his temples and getting lost behind his hairline.
âI-Iâm close! Simon, fuckâ baby, pleee-ease go harder,â Grace begged through a loud whimper, his bounces getting sloppier as his legs grew more tired.
Simon didnât have to be told twice. He lifted Grace almost completely off of him before letting gravity do most of the work bringing him back down, thrusting up into him as he did. The two of them moaned loudly at the same time, Grace looking at Simon like he just discovered electricity, and Simon looking just as surprised from his actions. Simonâs right hand gripped harder as his left stayed a gentle presence, the metal having gone from its cooling presence to the same warmth of Graceâs body heat.
Simon tried it again.
Same blissful reaction, same burst of heat between them.
It only took two more of those before Simon was a mess, tears streaming down his face before a yelp left him on the third heavenly thrust, coming deep inside Grace who wasnât far behind. With two hands on Simonâs stomach, he bounced himself with the little energy he recovered from letting Simon take the lead, and Simon was more than happy to let the blonde use him for his pleasure.
Grace came with a loud curse on his and Simonâs stomach, almost immediately plopping down on top of Simon while he was still inside Grace.
They panted and laid there together in silence for a moment before Simon reached over to play with Graceâs hair. This made Graceâwho had been busy listening to Simonâs slowing heartbeatâ look up at him, a smile sneaking its way onto Graceâs face as he saw the unmistakable smitten glint in Simonâs eyes, written all over his face.
âSo⊠what did you think?â Grace asked, though he was positive he knew the answer.
Simon was caught off guard by the question, as if it was difficult to think right now, âoh! Uhhh I mean it was- you were-â Simonâs face grew red as he looked for an adjective that would do what they just did justice. There seemed to be none.
Grace chuckled, âno words, huh? Itâs okay, I was just-â
âYouâre beautiful,â Simon blurted out, unintentionally interrupting Grace in the most wholesome way.
Grace blushed and laughed, âyouâre cute.â
Simon had earned himself a kiss, which he savored thoroughly, before Grace pulled away, finally pulling himself off of Simon, who made a noise at the feeling of his softened cock slipping out of Graceâs warm heat.
Grace plopped down on top of Simon once more with a sigh, âI donât want to clean up. But I also donât want to be all sticky,â Grace complained lazily, a hand resting on Simonâs chest and tracing little patterns on his skin.
Simon looked at the bedside table with a box of tissues, before looking down at Grace laying peacefully on top of him. With great concentration, he reached over and just barely was able to grab hold of the corner with his fingertips, pulling it to him before he peeled Grace off him just enough to wipe him down, wiping himself down immediately after.
âThere, thatâll do for now,â Simon said, letting Grace lay back down on him fully.
Needless to say, Grace watched the display with rapt attention, the hunger for his gentle lover only growing when Simon kissed the top of his head.
âRy? Whyâd you get up-â Simon was interrupted by Grace pouncing on him with another kiss.
âItâs so hot when youâre sweet and caring,â Grace murmured against Simonâs lips, groping Simonâs chest with one hand and supporting his weight with the other.
Simon leaned into the kiss before his brain registered those words. All Simon had done was clean both of them up⊠âwait- is that the bar??â
i have been tentatively consuming bloodymary content and i have a couple of issues with the characterisation of grace in so many fics that i just wanna have a quick yap abt
i feel like a lot of his flaws and experiences are often kind of smoothed over in order to make simon seem sadder and also to essentially turn him into a 'savior' for him (which is a wholeass bag of worms). both grace and simon have really interesting characters, and one of the things that makes them so compelling is their complexity and how it makes them feel more human to us. but their often flattened in these stories to create an ideal narrative for people to just read for the fluff, which is okay but also kinda frustrating due the shear amount of times it is happening.
grace is lowkey an asshole, he snaps quickly, he has a temper and hes fond of just throwing shit when hes frustrated. this doesnt discount his kindness, the way he tries to help anyone he finds and how hard he works, but its still an important part of his character. its literally an inciting incident for the whole story (the staggering waste of carbon incident), and it needs to be addressed more. Like I donât think grace would be like violent or anything but itâs definitely likely that he would get frustrated at some point, being a teacher doesnât mean that ur going to know exactly how to help a highly traumatised 30 year old man
one of my main problems with it is how its done in order to essentially create yaoi tropes of 'big strong angry man' and 'skinny little kind guy who will help fix him' which is just so stupid. one of the interesting things about bloodymary is the core similarities between Grace and Simon, and how their traits highlight the flaws in the other whilst still linking back to how similar the two are.
its just frustrating that graces character is continually reduced to turn him into a stereotypical meow meow yaoi bottom
simon is also butchered in a lot of fics but thats a whole other thing
This made me laugh really hard
One of my favorite hcs is Rocky and Simon being a ragebaiter while Grace is the ragebatee (or however you spell it, idk I'm tired.)
Rocky laying on Simon, and Grace being confused on how because of Rocky's heavy ass weight. And all Simon has to say is, "Grace is calling you fat, rock."
Now both Simon and Rocky are just accusing Grace of calling Rocky fat, and Grace has to defend for his life.
Both Rocky and Simon annoy the hell out of Grace, but he wouldn't have it any other way.
