The hiatus is over...
AGSP is officially back from an unofficial hiatus. Sorry for leaving this blog woefully unattended over the last year or so - my excuse is that actually studying Greek in my final year of high school has taken up quite a bit of my time. But I thought with graduation looming and with recent inspiration from attending a symposium with other greek students and classicists, I would re-launch this blog and start posting again (although I can’t promise anything about the frequency of such posts). As always, submissions welcome. See you around! (Admin H)
ἤτοι ὅ γ' ὣς εἰπὼν κατ' ἄρ' ἕζετο: τοῖσι δ' ἀνέστη- what do you mean I'm just trying to fill this line excuse me

greek translation ft. herodotus the shameless pro-athenian
herodotus: *talks about how much of a shithole the Eretrians are in at this point and how theyre gonna get so fucked by the persians when they arrive*
[Aeschines son of Nothon, a prominent figure among the Eretrians, when he learnt of the situation regarding each of these plans he told the Athenians who had come of all of the problems before them. And then he asked them to depart for their own country, so they would not also be destroyed. And the Athenians took Aeschines’ advice in this matter.] (6.100)
me: okay... that sounds fake but okay
“Obviously I want to start a Greco-Roman revival cult” “I want to deliberately come off as pretentious and unlikeable” “So I can read the captions on ridiculous pottery scenes”
Hi! I didn't know your blog earlier. I just wrote something like "ancient greek students problems" in google few minutes ago, and... surprise! Absolutely amazing! Greetings from Poland! :)
The great discoveries of our time. (Also to everyone sorry for not posting in ages- been on a bit of a tumblr break- I promise you I'll get some up in the days to come x) -admin h
Hey everyone, this is the other admin (the mysterious one who never does anything), sorry for being so absent! I’ll do some of the submissions today and queue them.
Following admin h’s post I’ll start tagging with my posts with admin z, catch ya later my fellow pained students.
