why is kohana part of team 7?

HOLY SHIT I WAS LOOKING THROUGH MY DRAFTS AND COMPLETELY FORGOT TO ANSWER THIS ASK! I'M SO SORRY!

I've made a post explaining this before, but I can give a more detailed explanation for you.

Teams in the academy are selected with the intention of having an equal distribution of skill, so that they all have a chance of succeeding in their team. However, Kohana joined the academy later on in their starting year, so that made the class uneven. Since she and Naruto both passed, that means no student expected to fail would have to repeat.

Team splitting is based on ability. Kohana has a low/average score in demonstrating Jutsu skills, combat technique, and chakra training (bad student and dull with her jutsus). Naruto is below average, Sakura is a smart student, talented with chakra control, but has below average combat abilities, and Sasuke has a high combat score. They level each other out, so the academy agreed to put them all together.

Another reason is that Kohana works well with Naruto, they're best friends, and i believe Iruka also had a hand in putting someone Naruto gets along with on his team to provide a supportive presence.

Takara’s Stand ability

Takara's stand, Vixen Blue, is a short-range stand (about 2 meters), with a long distance ability. She specializes in liquid projectile that emulate the power behind a pistol and can shoot water bullets up to 50 meters before dropping.

Vixen blue controls the pressure that builds behind each droplet of water. The smaller the water drop is the faster and more damage it can cause.

Takara shows she's about to attack by making one of her hands into a finger gun and pointing it towards her target. She doesn't need to do it, she is only mimicking Vixen Blue.

Takara's stand ability is a combination of water manipulation and projectile. She relies on environmental access to anything that has a liquid form. Her preferred type is plain old water but has resorted to other forms of liquid such as gasoline, for example.

She is also able to control thicker liquids such as oil but has a harder time due to lack of practice and heavier force needed behind the/each projectile to launch. She would need more time to draw back and build up power. Average 2 seconds of wind up.

Vixen Blue is able to control multiple droplets of water but each one would need to be shot at the same time and in the same direction. Though there are loops around this.

Vixen Blue's other abilities.

Protective scales - a patch of pearl colored scales appear on Takara’s skin seconds before she is hit. (good for blunt trauma but not durable under harsher hits or sharp objects)

Water arrow - a single large arrow of water needs moee time to wind up and build pressure.

Water travel - Vixen Blue has the ability to increase her distance from Takara without getting weaker or disappearing, the only requirement is that Takara has to be touching a body of water, no matter how small, so Vixen Blue can travel across the length of that body of water increasing her distance up to 3x

Mantis punch - Vixen blue can create a "gauntlet" of water around her fist and create pressure behind it to increase her punches force. She would need a longer wind up time.

Jet- At close range, Vixen blue is able to make a powerful stream of water concentrate on the tip of her finger which can be used to cut various objects, even metal.

Jet Jumbo - Similar to the last ability, this one Vixen Blue has the ability to make a larger stream powerful enough to push her opponents back several feet.

How did I come up with it?

I think at the time I first created Takara (2019~) just wanted her to have a water base stand, but did not want to only make her power controlling water since to me it wasn’t bizarre enough for jojos. The idea popped up after the wheel of fortune episode actually, when he used gasoline as projectiles against the crusaders. I thought it was really cool and that lead me down a rabbit hole of water jet cutting and water pressure and how much pressure is needed to create a powerful jet, and all that smart stuff.

I for one love it when there is a science behind stand abilities, it makes them more interesting!

I encourage more questions if you have any! It gives me an opportunity to share more with a text format, which I am, admittedly, better at that drawing my explanations.
