I saw the ok orchestra tour a week ago and I have not stopped thinking about it for a moment since. holy shit, it was so powerful and beautiful and made me feel every emotion a human can feel, good ones and bad ones. genuinely don't think I've ever experienced something like that before, doubt I ever will again.

but I totally agree! the OKO tour was so good! AJR always puts on an amazing show and I really did tear up at the end with the button

I hope we both can go see them on tour again some day and experience the rollercoaster of emotions again

I don't really like talking about my mental health online but Jack's speech at the end of the tour about his OCD diagnosis and the itch to press the button has kinda stayed with me and I've found myself listening to songs- especially 3 o'clock things- through that lens and seeing so much of myself in a way I think I always have with AJR's music but didn't have the vocabulary for before.

it's also the thing that made me fully weep at their show. like I didn't cry at the songs I thought I would but I started crying when he said he wasn't sure if pushing the button would even help

i know i talk about AJR a lot, but there is also just something about the whole gifted kid thing they seem to get on a base level, in Neotheater specifically, wether they were trying to or not. Next Up Forever, Karma, Finale, World's Smallest Violin, Humpty Dumpty, I can go on. absolutely no disrespect to boywithuke as he's just a kid and a new artist and I see what ajr sees in him, but for a tour that is so big and loud and colorful as oko tour is, I just feel like they should've had an opener that was a little more

I think it's best that AJR played Karma second bc I think that if it were any later in the show I would've bawled my eyes out
