One True Pairing || Dynasty Warriors -- FengZi
Lately I haven’t been feeling muse-y, as many of you may already know, but I did visit my drawing teacher for some kind of motivation. He told me to show him picture of Feng and Zixiu—
then drew this..
I—…
"...Fengxiao?"
"Yes my dear? Is everything alright?"
"I suppose a walk should be fine..As long as it doesn’t take too long, Strategist. I will need to return to work once the walk is over, however."
"Oh hush, no more talk of work Zixiu~! This wouldn't be 'taking a break' if all you do is worry about getting back to your scrolls~!.." Jia would take a few steps toward Ang, before laying his right hand down ontop of her head. "Come along now, I'll get you some of those chocolate sticks you love while we're out, that'll help keep your mind off work."
Speaking with Himself
Decisions, decisions… Guo Jia didn’t take long thinking about his options. If he ran into somebody else… with himself… That would get exceptionally messy. He may have had a silver tongue, but there was no way he’d be able to explain himself. Literally.
"I’d rather not risk being seen. Not that I wouldn’t mind being seen with myself, but… Do you happen to have an explanation provided that we get caught? I most certainly do not. Perhaps it’d be best if we stayed here.”
He gestured forward, allowing his twin to move ahead of him to the table in the back of the room. Guo Jia couldn’t help but look back over his shoulder for a moment, but it passed quickly.
"Once we sit down, you can tell me all about this multi-headed snake. It sounds quite interesting.”
Ah, so they would stay here and drink, a good choice indeed.
"Excellent choice. I'd rather not try and explain to Lord Cao Cao how there are two of us around now, I don't know how he'd take that." The strategist would nod his head, before wandering over to the opposite side of the table. It was moderately sized, certainly big enough for one or two people to sit at, maybe three if there was another chair-- point being, it was well suited for what they intended to do, which was drink.
"Here we are~ Its no court table but it'll do." Jia exclaimed, taking a seat at the table as he then motioned for his doppelganger to follow. " I'll tell you all about that snake and more, so long as there is a cup of delicious wine in my hand."
"...Fengxiao?"
"Yes my dear? Is everything alright?"
"Easier said than done, Strategist. I cannot relax if all of the documents aren’t complete, resulting me unable to properly take a break…Unless of course you have something decent for me to do in order to refrain myself from thinking about work.”
"I was thinking that maybe we could go take a walk or something? Or how about you let me treat you to a nice dinner?..Something my dear, anything to help you get your mind off work."
"...Fengxiao?"
"Yes my dear? Is everything alright?"
She rubbed her head slightly, “…I just..need some kind of relaxation and..I’m not so sure on what to do.”
"Perhaps you should take some time away from work then, yes? Take a little time apart from work to ease that beautiful mind of yours my dear."
"...Fengxiao?"
"Yes my dear? Is everything alright?"
"I would like to say yes, however…."
"What is the matter then my love? Do you require assistance with some of your work?..Or is there, something else, on your mind~?"
Akarui walked out of the restaurant she was working in. Her shift has just ended and so she decided to go to the marketplace to buy some fresh apples. On her way there, she had her attention on counting the money in her hand. She didn't realize someone in front of her and she bumped into him. A tall, blonde man who appeared to be the renowned Guo Jia. "I-I'm so sorry, sir!" She quickly bowed in apology once she saw it was him.
It wasn’t usual that Jia was around the marketplace like this, and if he was, he was sitting at one of the near taverns, usually drinking himself silly. Today however that wasn’t the case, as he had been sent out for some items, and while it wasn’t what his usual job consisted of, he had to do it anyways, even if it was rather tedious.
Boring, it was boring, or at least it was until the strategist bumped into somebody— A new face it would seem.
"What? Sorry for what? You did nothing wrong milady~” Jia had not taken offense by Akarui’s actions one bit, and in fact, her mere reaction to this little mistake was enough to warrant Jia’s delightful laugh— at least for a moment or two. “I bump into people all day you know, its quite alright in my eyes. You didn’t knock me over on to the ground or anything so don’t be so hard on yourself~!”
Akarui nodded with a smile. “What did you want to buy, sir? Food?” She questioned him, maybe she could be of service if he wasn’t so familiar with the marketplace.
Seeing as he didn’t walk past her just yet, she decided a conversation with the officer would be good. “Oh, I was just going to buy some apples.. Oh no, sir, I don’t mind at all..” She rubbed the back of her head, smiling warmly.
"I can't even remember what I came out here to buy--...Oh! Now I remember, some sweets." Jia would nod his head, as he then made his way toward the market stall that held said items. Even though he did this, he continued to speak with the kind lady. "You wouldn't believe the demand for these things back at the castle, its a wonder how everyone stays so healthy."
As he paid for the items he had gathered, he would then turn his head back toward Akarui once more. "Would you like anything while I'm here? Its not a bother."
It's been a while Guo Jia.
"Has it really? I haven’t really been keeping track of time—- good to see someone is though."
" I do but.. Sometimes its better off to do it yourself if you don’t want anything disorganized.. "
"Oh? So you don't need any help then?"
"...Fengxiao?"
"Yes my dear? Is everything alright?"
will your baby have blonde hair?
"I sincerely hope so."
heard zixiu dumped you bro
"Did she now?"
"I can't imagine why..."
".....Was it the roast I cooked?..It couldn't have been that bad.."
"-- Although I guess this means I have a reason to legitimately get drunk now, among other things. Although I'm sure she'll be back-- if what you say is even true that is."
Jia Xu sighed as he piled with ton of scrolls to fill out
"So much for an relaxing Weekend…aleast I don’t anyone pressuring this time around"
"Could always be worse friend. Good thing our lord has been quite..lenient lately. In any case I hope everything works out for you."
Akarui walked out of the restaurant she was working in. Her shift has just ended and so she decided to go to the marketplace to buy some fresh apples. On her way there, she had her attention on counting the money in her hand. She didn't realize someone in front of her and she bumped into him. You didn’t knock me over on to the ground or anything so don’t be so hard on yourself~!”
The girl usually was flirted with men who entered the restaurant she worked in, but that was as far as things went for her. No incidents have come to her. Maybe her kindness and hospitality is what has brought her such good yet simple life. Meeting someone of high rank such as the man before her was something out of the ordinary for her. “Civil or military.. Considering your position, you deserve a lot more respect than an everyday waitress like me… Thank you for your kindness, sir.” She bowed in gratitude.
"I try my best really." Jia would nod his head, before turning attention back to the market stalls in front of him. Needless to say, after what had just happened, the strategist had almost forgotten what he came here to get--...was it food? A personal item? Bah, the thought escaped him thoroughly, but he knew it would come back to him eventually.
Until then however, he figured he could make some conversation with the kind las beside him. "So what brings you out here miss? Shopping? Work in one of the taverns?-- if you dont mind me asking of course."
Speaking with Himself
"She keeps the alcohol from you? Quite unfortunate to hear, actually." Guo Jia blinked, looking all the more confused. He hadn’t even thought about having a wife, and yet… Here he was in front of himself… Who had one! The confused look faded quickly though as the blonde gestured to his bag with a smile.
"I happen to carry wine on me. It’s not enough to host an entire banquet, of course, but it should be enough for us both."
"Should you lead the way, I’ll gladly follow you, Fengxiao." Goodness, saying his own name was something he’d have to get used to.
That was just what he wanted to hear, even if this person hadn't been 'him', the mere fact that they had something to drink was enough to lift Jia's spirits-- higher than they previously were anyways.
"Now I know you are me-- because if I could, I'd carry wine around with me all day and all night. Not to say I'd be drinking all day and all night either, but it'd just be good to have around.." Jia, now at full attention, would wander past his doppelganger as the strategist then motioned to the large table toward the back end of the room. "We can stay here and share the drink if you'd like. or we can head out to the main hall-- although we may have some explaining to do if someone spots us."
It's been a while Guo Jia.
"Has it really? I haven’t really been keeping track of time—- good to see someone is though."
" It just doesn’t look like it Mister Guo Jia but … being in a school filled with potential huntsman and huntresses makes you realize that breaking limits is a normal thing…"
" Indeed… No rest for the wicked.." She sighed. "Well.. Are you busy at the moment..?"
How interesting.
"I have some things to tend to, but nothing all that serious, they are things that can wait. Why Madam Goodwitch? You must require assistance with something I take it?"
Speaking with Himself
Hold on a moment. Did he just mention… Giant multi-headed snakes? How strange, he had never seen anything of the sort before. Now, if you had asked him about… Five minutes prior to this discussion, Guo Jia would probably wouldn’t have believed it, but considering that he was having this discussion with himself, he was a little more open minded about the idea.
"Would you mind repeating yourself?"
The moment he said that, he followed himself up.
"Perhaps you’d like to discuss it over a drink?"
So it seemed that they didn't share the same memories,so maybe they weren't that exactly alike, but most of that didn't matter to Jia, because if this other version of himself liked to drink just as much as he did-- everything would be as ok as it could be.
"I wouldn't have it any other way~! We can discuss it over a nice drin-- Err hold on...Would you happen to have anything to drink though? I'm afraid my wife keeps the alcohol as far away from me as possible."
