“ i am NOT bitching !   i’m simply making a statement here !   i’ll have you know i can do three pushups before i fall on my face. ”  crossing his arms he felt proud of himself . it was good progress - sorry he couldn’t do a thousand push ups like she could . he’ll get there - maybe . . .

pouting he kept his ground . 

“ just . . . get a real one !   we should train with real blades  -  we’re not gonna beat the bokoblins with sticks , you know . ”

She looks to him with concern, unaware that the punch was not from Groose but Colby himself. It was a possibility that never crossed her mind. Could ever cross her mind. For who would believe someone would punch themselves for the attention of another? Most certainly not Zelda and like that, she’d fallen for his facade. She applies more pressure to his jaw, hoping the coolness of the ice soothing the burn of the pain that no doubt exploded from the punch. Zelda presses her lips together as she looks over the wound. A low hum sounding from her throat.

“Hmm… it doesn’t look… too bad. You should be able to recover in no time. Though the bruising might take a while for it to go away.” A small pout stains fair features once she had been done with observing Colby’s injury. Though she knew Groose to be a tormenter of sorts (often acting like a knight in shining armor, one that you would read about in the books, where she would rescue her dearest friend) he would spit venomous words. This time, he’d gone too far she thinks to herself and she could feel a lecture forming in her thoughts. “Ooo that big bully, I can’t believe he did this to you. Next time I see him I’ll give him a piece of my mind. It’s not right to treat others this way, let alone you.”

“As a matter of fact, is he still nearby? I’ll go to him right now to straighten him out!”

           Uh oh  --  the plan had holes that he did not foresee !   of course zelda would want to talk to groose !   how stupid of him to not factor that in !   feeling sweat form on his brow the red head quickly shook his head . think greenebay , think ! you’re in honor classes anyway - come up with something !

“     z-zelda that’s not necessary !   i .  .  .  i think he flew off his with his friends anyway !   besides , anytime you talk to him i swear it goes in one ear   &   out the other with that weird  look on his face .   ”  it was so painfully obvious of his crush on zelda  -  he made himself the fool anytime they got the chance to speak . groose was an easy man to read  -  very simple . their relationship wasn’t horrible  ,  colby was used to his roll of the nerd . ( besides , sometimes groose would pay him to do his homework since threats of violence did not phase the nerd ) . 

biting his lip he tried to find a reason to keep zelda here instead of rushing off  -  ( but the idea that she would talk the bully’s ear off made him fuzzy  ,  she really cared ) !

“ i . . . i’m kinda scared . what if he punches me again because i told you . . . c-can you stay here ? p-please  .   .   .  ? ” his words were small , like a little bird crying out for it’s mother . pale fingers reached up towards the girls hand  -  still holding the ice on his quickly bruising cheek . if she continued to insist on talking to that bully , he would have no problem bring out the waterworks .
