i’ll be returning on here once i’ve had a bit of time away. i think focusing on my move / final days at work is probably best & it gives me time to focus on the blog move i was already planning to do for mason come end of this year. i truly do feel very horrible about reblogging the callout for priestbit & once again, i am very sorry for reblogging it. i really should have read it completely before doing so, but it’s a mistake i made & i feel it best to own up to it. no one forced me to reblog it ; it was my own decision. i will repeat that i was not involved in the writing of the callout,  but reblogging it alone could have been damaging enough. my apologies to beth for that. you brought the evidence necessary to clear your name & i’m sorry for reblogging something that had such a dangerous accusation.

i don’t expect anyone to forgive me or to be my friend or what have you. i simply want to apologize & let it be known that i know i made a mistake & it’s one i will need to face head on. i do hope everyone involved gets the peace they deserve to move on as time passes. i am not upset at anyone & i don’t want to point fingers. reblogging it was my own mistake & that’s all i can speak on.

mason's   been   in   such   a   weird   state   of   mind   as   of   late   that   he   barely   notices   the   shorter   man   that   slides   over   to   his   side   at   the   party.   actually   ,   he   doesn't   know   anyone   at   this   party   save   for   julie   &   stacey   ,   &   they   both   have   run   off   to   hang   out   with   their   own   circle   of   friends   ,   leaving   him   here   to   fend   for   himself.   normally   that   wouldn't   be   such   a   problem   since   he's   usually   such   a   social   butterfly   ,   but   he   had   a   lot   going   on   after   moving   all   the   way   over   here   ,   hoping   to   start   fresh   &   it   hasn't   exactly   been   smooth   sailing.   he   thought   canada   was   supposed   to   be   kinda   nice   .   .   .   both   the   scene   &   the   people   ,   but   clearly   that   was   all   a   made   up   thing   ,   just   like   how   most   things   are.   with   a   sigh   ,   he   looks   down   at   his   half   empty   solo   cup   &   grimaces.   the   beer   here   is   rancid   ,   but   hey   ,   at   least   it's   free   , right   ?

mason   has   a   knack   for   performing   on   the   stage   ,   but   that   doesn't   make   him   an   expert   at   it.   he   still   struggles   with   certain   aspects   in   the   craft   of   acting despite what he might say otherwise to most ,   &   accents   happens   to   be   his   greatest   weakness.   anything   from   scottish   to   irish   dialects always   ends   up   sounding   like   a   mash   of   something   incoherent   anytime   he   tries to emulate it   &   while   realistically   speaking   he   knows   he'd   be   given   a   coach   to   improve   upon   this   ability   if   he   was   given   a   role   ,   he   is   just very   horrible   at   it   from   the   get   go that he knows he won't even make it past the first casting call.   it's   why   he   only   uses   this   lack   of   ability   when   he   feels   like   bothering   his   husband   ,   &   after   all   the   constant   teasing   &   gentle   ass   slaps   he's   given   him   as   he   tries   to   make   them   breakfast   ,   today   seems   as   good   as   ever   a   time.   his   british   accent   comes   out   harsh   &   sharp   ,   nothing   compared   to   the   rich   smoothness   of   his   husband's   easy & attractive   inflection.   he   tries   for   a   lower   pitch   ,   attempting   to   actually sound   like   sebastian   now   ,   but   the   laugh   that   breaks   in   mid   sentence   is   hard   to   resist   &   he   simply   gives   up   on   the   endeavor   entirely   ,   his   body   hunched   over   the   sink   as   he   attempts   to   wash   dishes.

very   random   question   ,   but   i've   seen   people   use   an   effect   to   blur   out   people's   faces in graphics & promos.   kind   of   like   .   .   .   a   censor   ?   idk   it   looks   cool   &   i've   seen   it   a   lot   &   am   curious   if   it's   a   texture   or   an   effect   i   can   do   in   photoshop.

okay   ,   so   i'm   moving   to   a   new   city   sometime   at   the   end   of   december   to   our   new   house   (   owning   ,   not   renting   !   )   so   i   anticipate   to   be   a   bit   busy   ,   esp.   since   i'm   training   my   replacement   at   work   &   i'm   looking   for   new   work   as   well   (   crossing   my   fingers   bc   i   have   some   potential   leads   rn   ). i'll   be   here   writing   as   much   as   i   can   in   between   packing   bc   i   know   i'm   gonna   need   the   outlet.   i'm   also   reading   so   that   has   boosted   my   writing   a   heck   ton   i   feel   like.   also   ,   i'll   be   bringing   my   spy   dad   /   l.oid   forger   back   ,   but   probably   not   until   the   new   year   so   i   give   myself   time   to   set   up   his   blog   (   i'm   a   bit   of   a   perfectionist   gndjkgnkdnfg   ).   but   ANYWAYS   ,   tldr      :   i'm   still here   ,   but   life   is   changing   for   the   AMAZING   so   if   i'm   not   around as often   ,   that   is   why   !

focus  is  diverted  from  the  folder  of  sheet  music  in  her  hands  as  an  unfamiliar  voice  pipes  up  in  front  of  her  -  little  mind  had  been  paid  to  what  she  was  walking  into,  a  half-confused  smile  dawning  over  her  features,  "i  can  do  piano  -  i  was  scheduled  t'sing  tonight,"  clearly,  he  appears  rather  comfortable  behind  the  keys,  and  she  isn't  here  to  step  on  anyone's  toes,  "at  least  ...  i  thought  i  was."  she  holds  her  folder  to  her  chest,  surveying  the  scenario  for  all  that  it  offers:  a  new  opportunity,  perhaps.  "if  i  promise  that  i  don't  bite,  maybe  we  can  make  this  work  together."

rory's grateful for exhaustion, the instigator of any kind of peaceful sleep she gets. she drags herself into the cold covers of an empty bed and lets herself fade away, it's not sleep, or rest, she just disappears, blacks out until her mind can conjure enough strength to be alert again. it's usually more peaceful with a warm body and a few shots of tequila burning through her, but she promised to be good, and good she shall try to be. so she has to settle for exhaustion. her worst companion and only comfort.

the suspended dreamlike state quivers, the mattress dips underneath her, a touch against the tip of her nose. rory squints into the darkness to see the silhouette of mason's head outlined by the light from the hallway. ❝ hey ... ❞ rory squints one eye to peek through the other as she tries to make out his features, her hand instinctively searches for his from under the covers, ❝ yeah, honey, of course ... get in here ... ❞ rory drags herself backwards across the bed to make room for mason, patting the mattress next to her to coax him into bed while she still tries to get the sleep out of her eyes, ❝ wanna talk about it ? ❞

as   mason   expected   ,   rory   welcomed   him   into   her   bed   without   hesitation.   he   knew   he   never   had   to   fear   about   her   ever   shooing   him   away   ,   already   feeling   so   safe   in   the   small   cocoon   of blankets & pillows that   was   her   bed.   he   huddles   in   a   touch   closer   now   that   he   had   verbal   confirmation   to   stay   ,   relieved   that   he   didn't   have   to   sleep   in   his   own   bed   alone   again   ,   too   afraid   of   that   same   dream   coming   back   to   haunt   him   a   second   time.   he   feels   himself   begin   to   relax   as   he   gets   enveloped   in   her   duvet   &   familiar scent   ,   sleep   slowly   creeping   over   him   until   rory   asks   him   if   he'd   like   to   talk   about   his   dream.   the   darkness   hides   his   features   ,   omitting   the   scrunched   up   frown   he   has   in   reaction   to   her   query.   it's   not   that   he   doesn't   want   to   talk   about   it   ━━   rory   is   his   friend   ,   one   of   his   closest   friends   if   he's   being   honest   .   .   .   he'd   tell   her   just   about   anything   with   all   the   things   they've   been   through   together.   it's   just   that   .   .   .      well   .   .   .

❝   . . . it's   .   .   .   hard   to   explain   ,   actually.   ❞   mason's   tone   sounds   very   uncertain & almost nervous   ,   unsure   how   to   navigate   this   sort   of   conversation without sounding too strange.   ❝   it's   like   ,   i   dream   about   a   monster   or   something   chasing   me   ,   but   then   it's   not   actually   a   monster   .   .   .   like   it   becomes   something   ,   someone   i   know   ,   but   then   it   switches   back   to   the   monster   &   it's   just   a   mess   of   back   &   forth   &   back   &   forth.   it's   confusing   &   weird   &   all   i   know   is   that   in   the   moment   ,   i'm   terrified   of   whatever   it   is that's chasing me & i don't know what will happen if it catches me , but i sure as shit don't want to find out.   ❞   he's   sure   there's   a   legitimate   explanation   as   to   why   his   dreams   are   framed   like   this   ,   but   all   they've   managed   to   do   is   frighten   him   to   no   end   &   he   just   hopes   that   this   is   the   last   time   he   has   to   worry   about   it   for   a   while.   nightmares   like   this   are   rare   ,   but   when   they   do   appear   ,   they   leave   such   a   long   lasting   impression   on   him , ruining him for a short period of time.   with   a   sigh   ,   mason   reaches   for   rory's   hand   for   support   as   he   tries   to   calm   his   breathing.   the   last   thing   he   wants   is   to   worry   her   should   his   stress   &   anxiety   worsen.   ❝   i   think   the   monster   was   brad   .   .   .   it   kinda   looked   like   him   ,   but   other   times   not.   maybe   a   metaphor   ?   i   don't   know.   ❞   mason   sighs   in   defeat   ,   squeezing   her   hand.   ❝   anyway   ,   sorry   for   waking   you.   you   looked   pretty   peaceful   &   i   ruined   your   sleep.   i'm   sorry.   ❞

❝   oh   knock   it   off   ,   kringle   ,   i   know   you're   just   being   nice.   ❞   growing   up   in   a   city   ,   in   california   no   less   ,   you   don't   exactly   have   the   privilege   of   enjoying   snow   days   like   those   in   the   east   coast   do.   mason's   only   been   living   in   new   york   for   over   a   decade   &   then   some   ,   but   his   snowman   making   abilities   definitely   leave   a   lot   to   be   desired.   not   exactly   a   party   trick   he   uses   often   to   entertain   others   ,   but   he's   glad   nick   finds   it   somewhat   amusing.   he's   a   sweet   guy   ━━   too   nice   for   a   rough city   like   this   ,   making   mason   maybe   a   tad   be   protective   over   him   ,   if   only   to   make   sure   nothing   bad   happens   &   that   no   one   tries   to   take   advantage   of   him.   yeah   sure   ,   he's   six   foot   two   &   can   probably   handle   himself   ,   but   a   little   back   up   never   hurt   ,   right   ?

mason's   lost   in   thought   as   he   tries   to   return   to   focus   on   his   frankenstein   creation   ,   failing   to   adjust   the   carrot   on   the   snowman's   nose   to   the   right   angle for that charming , whimsical look.   as   he   struggles   ,   he   nearly   jumps   out   of   his   boots   when   he   feels   the   snowball   make   contact   with   his   shoulder   ,   freezing   in   place   as   his   mind   realizes   what   has   happened. eventually   he   slowly   turns   around   ,   gawking   at   nick   incredulously , as if almost amazed at what he's just done.   ❝   oh   you   did   not   just   .   .   .   you   mother   .   .   .   ❞   before   he   can   finish   his   sentence   ,   mason   quickly   forms   &   chucks   a   snowball   at   nick's   chest   ,   ducking   behind   his   misshapen   snowman   for   cover.   if   it's   a   war   nick   wants   ,   it's   a   war   he'll   get   ,   adrenaline   pumping   as   he   begins   to   create   more   ammo in a small pile by his feet   ,   looking   over   the   snowman   to   take   a   peak   at   his   friend   ,   now   turned   enemy.   ❝   don't   mess   with   me   nick.   i've   played   modern   warfare   before   .   .   .   i   can   aim   pretty   decently   !   ❞   decent   ,   but   not   good   for   sure.   he's   gotta   hope   that   the   hit   nick   got   in   is   the   only   one   he'll   make   today.

okay , he'll admit it . he likes when mason wears his glasses . something about the dark frames that shape his face , sitting on his nose so perfectly . . . something about the air , the way it turns mason into someone a bit more visually brainy . mason is smart , of course , but there's something to be said about the cliché look of studious glasses . HE LOOKS HANDSOME . he looks refined and cheeky and perfect for reciting shakespeare on a whim . cue some deep thoughts about attraction or deeper interests , or scratching at a fantasy sebastian's never been able to itch . he'll look internally later and muddle through the source of his feeling — for now , instead , he'll eagerly give in to the way mason tastes . kisses are given out with gracious generosity in this house ( there's never a dry moment , nor a drought of intimacy between the loving greenes ) , so sebastian at first suspects this will be quick and serene . SOMETHING TENDER TO TAKE THE EDGE OFF . it begins much like that ; with a quiet , romantic sliver of sunlight carving the shadows of their faces .

then , like most kisses shared between the two men . . . things get ferociously out of hand , and fast . they give pause for a breath , and sebastian suspects mason will move on , readjust his grip of his script in his hand , and continue on with his attempts at channeling orsino . instead . . . well . IT SHOULD BE EXPECTED AT THIS POINT , that churning , beating swelter of love shivering madly between their bodies . mason drops his script . sebastian drops his on the coffee table . in a hasty instant , the two have gone from casual flirtation and iambic pentameter to WHATEVER THIS IS ( sebastian's sturdy hand under mason's leg to drag him close , other hand on his cheek , fingers nestled in his hair ) . it's a different form of poetry , really . it's still meaningful , still weighted with feeling , still following a rhythm , only it no longer bears the burden of wordplay . for now , instead , it's hunger . it's the way mason's tongue travels through sebastian's mouth . it's the classic greene maneuver where all important business is forgotten beneath a single , dignified kiss . and now they're anything but dignified . . . and sebastian doesn't mind it .

❝ if you try and — blame me later for distracting you from practice , ❞ he grits between kisses , ❝ i'm going to be so . . . mad at you . . . ❞ HE WON'T . HE'S LYING . now sebastian's pace quickens , and the grip on mason's leg rises to the back pocket of his jeans . ❝ this is . . . all . . . your . . . fault . . . ❞

even   amidst   their   slowly   stewing   display   ,   mason   can't   help   the   jolt   of   laughter   that   leaves   his   mouth   in   response   to   his   husband's   words   ,   clearly   highly   amused   by   the   response.   normally   he'd   say   something   just   as   cheeky   in   retaliation   ,   but   then   he   feels   a   familiar   hand   slide   into   his   back pocket   &   suddenly   all   clever   thought   completely   leaves   his   mind   ,   sinking   back   into   the   fog   of   their   heated   embrace.   it   is   truly   of   no   surprise   that   they've   gone   down   this   path so quickly   ,   even   when   mason   was   the   one   who   asked   sebastian   to   help   him   with   his   lines   ━━   that   he   truly   needed   to   focus   before   his   audition   in   a   few   days   time.   it   was   silly   to   think   they   could   be   serious   for   longer   than   a   few   hours   in   such   close   proximity   ,   their   hearts   beating   fast   as   they   recite   such   poetic   words   ,   words   written   for   others   in   the   past   ,   but   hold   a   similar   meaning   to   how   they   feel   about   one   another now.   their   love   has   always   been   a   roaring   fire   ,   ironic   considering   sebastian's   fear   of   flames   ,   &   even   now   the   heat   has   never   once   died   down.   if   possible   ,   it's   only   gotten   stronger   the   longer   they   have   been   together   &   their   sudden   need   to   embrace   &   share   in   a   romantic   kiss   only   makes   that   more   obvious.   the   actor's   tongue   dances   inside   the   stage   of   sebastian's   pliant   mouth   ,   easing   into   him   ,   entertaining   him   in   a   way   he   knows   he   can't   resist.   he   feels   victorious   when   sebastian   gives   in   to him completely   ,   the   embrace   tightening   ,   strong   hands   gripping   him   in   a   way   that   causes   a   shaky   moan   to   leave   his   lips.   mason's   glasses   are   too   foggy   for   him   to   see   anything   before   him   ,   but   he   doesn't   need   sight   to   know   what   sebastian   is   feeling   ,   to   know   how   badly   he's   enjoying   this   &   wanting   more.

whispers   of   love   &   hitched   breaths   mingle   in   the   air   in   between   their   shared   kisses   ,   staying   that   way   for   what   feels   like   hours.   if   breathing   wasn't   a   necessity   ,   mason   knows   they'd   stay   like   that   for   good   ,   but   as   much   as   they   need   each   other   ,   they   can't   deny   their   own   humanity.   pausing   to   break   for   just   a   moment   ,   mason's   lungs   cry   out   in   agony   as   he   pants   to   collect   himself   ,   the   fog   of   his   glasses   finally   dissipating   ,   allowing   him   full   view   of   his   love   ,   who   looked   just   as   wide   eyed   &  rosy   as   he   probably   does.   without   thinking   of   the   repercussions   that   will   follow   for   committing   such   an   act   ,   mason's   hand   slides   under   sebastian's   chin   ,   the   tips   of   his   fingers   tapping   under   to   encourage   him   to   close   his   open   mouth.   ❝   you're   cute   when   you're   breathless   like   this   ,   ❞   mason   pants   ,   aware   of   the   irony   of   the   statement   as   he   tries   to   steady   himself.   ❝   i'm   not   sure   if   .   .   .   we   should   continue   practicing   for   now.   my   brain   is   definitely   not   on   shakespeare   anymore.   ❞   he   laughs   as   he   runs   a   hand   through   his   brown   locks   ,   unintentionally   messing   them   up   more   as   his   cheeks   burn   the   longer   he   looks   at   his   husband.   even   years   later   ,   he   still   makes   him   blush. ❝ i'll take the blame for this , this is so totally my bad . . . but can you blame me ? ❞ before he can let sebastian answer , mason's arms slide around his shoulders , bringing him in close again. ❝ it's hard not to kiss you when i can do it whenever i want now. an ocean used to keep us apart . . . not anymore. i don't want to take any moment we share for granted. i want to enjoy what is now mine. ❞
