If there was one scene from the Lord of the Rings that I would have loved to see that was in the books but not the movies; it would be the opening of The Knife in the Dark where a few of the Black Riders arrive at Crickhollow and Fatty Bolger manages to sneak out of the house ahead of them and you really get to see that the Shire, Buckland in particular, isn’t entirely undefended.
Plus I love the sound of a horn blowing.

When you meet Edward Elric he gives off the impression that he's the short-tempered hot-headed "violence is the answer to all life's questions" kind of protagonist, and it's in fact incredible character craft that he's actually the character who ends the series with a negative-3 kill count.

direct orders of "you really really need to kill this guy" ignored: 1
ongoing murders being committed by Ed's own friends/colleagues that Ed got in the way of to specifically stop that murder from happening: 2
God's worst soldier Edward Elric. Showed up as the youngest member of the Amestrian army, took millions of dollars from them, never followed a single order, helped dismantle their fascist regime, left with a lower kill count than he arrived with, then fucked off to go be a house-husband. Character of all time.
You know, when you said "negative-3 kill count," I, who haven't seen the anime, thought, "He resurrected 3 people?????" But I'm seeing here on the wiki that apparently resurrection in this anime is a terrible idea.

So I’m rereading Shot Through Time cause I’m getting the itch to update it and want to remind myself of what’s happened so far (as you do) and just; the last line of this paragraph had me laughing:
"Oh! I picked up something earlier that will get us past this shutter!" Claire digs into her backpack without anyone saying anything. She and Wesker stand in front of the closed fire shutter that was blocking the hallway leading farther into the east side of the building. Wesker had been glaring at it like it personally offended him, but Claire's words made him turn.

Garp one-shots and I think I need to include a scene where Dragon safe drops one too many babies with Garp and she tracks him down while he’s in the middle of some super serious revolution™️ meeting and busts in carrying newborn Luffy like a football yelling at Dragon like “what the hell?! Again?! Stop impregnating women!”
And yes, Dragon will actually be Rocks’ son in this version
