Wir brauchen jetzt mehr denn je menschliche, demokratische Politiker, die sich in der Opposition stark machen – und Robert Habeck ist einer der größten. Sein Rückzug wäre ein weiterer Schlag in die falsche Richtung, aber vielleicht kann er noch umgestimmt werden.

Habeck verkörpert wie kaum ein anderer intellektuelle Tiefe, Verantwortung und emotionale Nahbarkeit. Seine Reden sind durchdacht, sachlich und authentisch – ohne populistische Hetze. Im Wahlkampf war er einer der wenigen, die dem Volk wirklich zugehört haben, zB durch die Küchentisch Gespräche oder Volksumfragen.

Ja, sein Ministerium hat das Heizungsgesetz umgesetzt – aber die Idee dazu kam aus dem CDU-geführten Wirtschaftsministerium der vorherigen Regierung. Trotz aller Kritik hat Habeck als Wirtschaftsminister viel bewegt: Er hat den Ausbau erneuerbarer Energien massiv vorangetrieben und das Land stabil durch die Energiekrise geführt.

Was ihn aber besonders ausmacht, ist seine Ehrlichkeit und Volksnähe. Wenn es Angriffe auf ihn gab, hat er sich direkt ans Volk gewandt und die Karten offen auf den Tisch gelegt – anstatt auszuweichen oder Schuldzuweisungen zu betreiben.

Sein Rückzug wäre ein großer Verlust für die Demokratie. Wer das genau so sieht, den bitte ich darum diesen offenen Brief zu unterschreiben. Danke.

just checking in to say that if the AFD and CDU (basically the republicans of germany) do get a majority of seats in the parliament today, dont stop protesting, continue to call people out on their bullshit, fight for peoples rights, get your studies done, eat a good snack, listen to good music, continue watching funny videos of your faves, rewatch your favourite cartoons. it is extremely hard to stay positive during these times and you dont always have to. be pissed, be livid, because you have every right to be. but the last thing we should do right now is give up. everybody who voted for those people: let's see how far this is going to get you.
