I love how permadeath in fire emblem makes you play the game completely differently depending on what units you have left. In my most recent fe7 run, I lost all my fliers stupidly, right before nino’s stupid ass water bridge map. Usually you’d use your fliers to carry your other units across the map so the impassible water isn’t too big a deal, but the only unit in my army that could tread water was Hawkeye the berserker. I gave him boots and now he’s my shitty flier replacement, helps that he can also go over peak tiles

If conquest didn’t want me to buy an enherjar corrin that has all the stats as my normal one, then they wouldn’t give me the option. Only I get to choose how I use the small amount of money they give me

The broken armor mechanic in fates is great, it makes all my units look like how I feel after the average conquest map where I lose my best characters

Watching jerma after only hearing about him from the internet is a trip. He’s extremely genuinely funny, and not usually in a “I’m gonna murder you” way that the internet portrays him as. The chat is the insane ones projecting onto this man, and whenever he reads a message they sent, they quote it as him.

Like I’m loving his streams and jokes a lot. I just got an entirely different vibe from him from all the memes

Gotta love how splatoon 3 asks so many questions and answers none of them. “Woah! You have a small fry! Wonder where you got it?” “It’s great you get to keep this small fry around even though plenty of people hunt salmonids on the daily and you can see tons of anti-salmonid posters around, wonder why that is?” Crazy how power eggs from salmonids are able to create mammal goo, wonder why?”

Like I get that this is baby game, and not a lot of people care about the lore. Less of all salmonid lore, but I do. I wish I just had some answers. All I can hope for is that big run will have big lore drops, but since I know it won’t, I’m gonna cry here about it

While it doesn’t answer ALL your questions, it does provide enough to give you something to work with. Why do you have a small fry? Because it wandered off and got lost. Why does it eat so much? Because it has an insatiable appetite due to prolonged starvation. Why does the player have them as a pet? I dunno, because they found the little guy lost and took him in?

Splatoon lore is designed to allow you to make up your own stories from the little pieces they give you, not outright explain in detail the “why” of how everything works. More fun that way, imo!
