Carpooling.fr Carpooling through France!
During our Tour de France for Greenmap, we decided to partner with a great company Carpooling.fr . They focus on reducing each persons carbon footprint, by creating an easy platform and community, to find carpools through France.
We posted every time we moved towns. We were able to charge a small fee, and give specific information on who we would want as a potential carpool.
We ended up carpooling a great girl from near Biarritz, to Montpellier. It was a great experience. She was young and respectful and the whole process was very easy.
I suggest you check out Carpooling.fr and potentially think of carpooling next time!!

Old environmental manor we stayed at
Patte Blanche
In Montpellier, we met with the wonderful company Patte Blanche. They offered us pizza, and we discussed different topics from environment to media trends.
From their site (translated to English)
'We live in a unique period of transition where the very future of our planet is threatened by the way we live and consume. We need to change, to grow, collaborate, invent a new mode of development, finally sustainable.
Born in this particular context, the agency Patte Blanche feeds the belief that we can all, in all situations and whatever our action potential to be involved in this change.'
They are basically an agency responsible Consulting & Communication specialized in Sustainability & CSR. Its a great new approach to the original agency business model, and we were very glad to have the opportunity to meet and work with them.
Make sure to check them out:

OuiShare
Met with the intelligent, chill, interesting OuiShare team in Bordeaux. OuiShare is an open global community of passionate people from designers to public officials , all working to accelerate the shift toward a more collaborative economy. They are a great team and push to collaborate on new ideas by organizing events all around the world. Since January 2012, they have organized over 40 events, from workshops to meetups, in 20 different European cities. They are quickly spreading their reach to Latin America and other areas around the globe. They believe the culture of openness has many benefits and they truly are a great group of people. We discussed GreenMap and spoke about different subjects relating to both our current missions.

Breathtaking town of Amboise. Happy Fourth of July all!
Nantes , France biodiversity national conference overview
Hi everybody! After two days spent at the “3èmes assises nationales de la biodiversité” in Nantes I would like to give you a little insight on what was discussed; During this forum, biodiversity was at the center of all discussions. The mission of this event was to bring people together to talk about the importance of the protection of biodiversity in towns across France. Various subjects were discussed: Biodiversity in urban areas; Relations between Biodiversity and Climate Change; Biodiversity and Health; Biodiversity, from the Ocean and the Forest, to the City; How to integrate Biodiversity innovatively on your territory; Participatory science and Eco-citizenship; Management of polluted soils; Importance of the Biodiversity in natural spaces in Urban areas; Biodiversity and Culture… I was able to have very interesting conversations during the networking receptions and various breaks. After two days, it seems like everybody here agrees that France needs our current society to start protecting its natural patrimony, not only its history, culture, and economy. And of course, I have always tried, in every one of my conversations, to advise them to choose Green Map System to help them protect their localities ! I feel the conversations really had momentum enough to start stronger initiatives for change.
Happy 4th of July from the Ambroise France
