Red belly black snakes are from the elapid family of snakes and are  a species found on east coast of australia. They are very well known species due to there uniform black dorsal scales and pink to redish belly scales. they can be found in swamp lands, forrest and woodlands. their diet primarily consist of frogs however will also prey on small mammals and other reptiles, oh though a bite is generally not considered fatal it can certainly cause significant health issues and could pose more isses with smaller children and pets. The venom of a red bellied black snake consist of a combination of toxins such as neurotoxins,  mycotoxins, coagulants and also has haemolytic properties.
