Odin watched him silently. He didn’t show any emotion on his face, aside from possibly annoyance. Finally, he broke down. He had to show at least some kindness to the guy who had helped him on multiple occasions. Granted, he also tried to put him away a few times, but he really didn’t know better at the time.
"What is this any w-way?" he asked.
"Oh, it's sauteed Zucchini and Mushrooms with roasted lamb." Gil let go of a breath e didn't even know he was holding, his smile gently returning. "I'm not the best cook their is, but I've learned a thing or two living on my own for so long."
He actually was very proud of his skill in the kitchen, and it was nice having other people around to share the meal with. He thought back to earlier, and how the girls seemed to enjoy it. A happy buzz spread through his nerves just then, simply remembering himself soaking in their praises. Now hopefully it would be no different for Odin.
"Does all that sound okay?" He suddenly felt worried. "I can make something else if you'd like."
(( Hey there! I wanted to say a few things, but there was no ask box for the blog, apparently. Stuff under the cut!))

Odin scowled as the plate suddenly passed into his possession. He fully intended to fight it off, but the doctor was sneaky in getting it into his hands. And Odin wasn’t about to dump food on the ground.
When Gil told his joke, Odin glared at him flatly. Really? Was that an attempt at a joke? Odin almost felt bad for him. Gil was trying so hard to cheer him up and befriend him, when Odin really wanted nothing to do with him.
"Is that a-all you wanted to talk to me about or…?"
Gil smile slowly fell. Maybe his joke wasn't that funny after all. I took a few tense moments before the blue boy remembered that he was being spoken to.
"Oh, uh no. Nothing else." He brought a hand up and scratched the beck of his head sheepishly. "Just don't be afraid to get seconds if you really wanted to, okay?" Wow. This was going down hill really fast.
On the next update
Gil knows his shit
"It’s against like, three laws and a dozen health codes."
Odin looked at the plate once it was extended to him. His mouth watered slightly, and the smell became even sweeter. None of this showed outwardly, however. "I heard everybody going down to eat, but I wasn’t hungry," Odin lied. It became evident when his stomach groaned just loudly enough for the both of them to hear. He scowled. Betrayed by his own body.
Odin decided to change his answer, “O-okay, I didn’t want to eat with anybody.”
Gil couldn’t help but give a small smile at the scene, just happy that Odin would take the food. He tried to keep the conversation light hearted as he handed the plate to the shorter man.
"Well that’s quite a shame. It would’ve been nice to have you there since it was one of my first meals being able to eat meat again!" This was a blatant, lie, but it was the only joke Gil really knew, "I decided that becoming a vegetarian was a missed steak.”
The smile on Gil only grew. There’s no way Odin won’t cheer up after that golden joke!
Today was not his day. Odin got up and went to the door. There was no way to get rid of him without at least making a face to face appearance. He had been hungry - truly hungry - before. There was no need for him to take the food from the blue boy.
He opened the door, making sure he looked none-too-pleased by the disturbance. His purple eyes met Gil’s blue, and his eyes narrowed the slightest bit. He put his arm on the door, barring Gil from entering.
"Wh-what do you want?" he asked, pretending he hadn’t heard Gil through the door. The smell of food washed over him, and Odin clenched his jaw.
Gil tried not to flinch back from the sudden motion of the door opening. It took him a second to collect himself before he replied. His shocked look turned into a worried one.
"O-oh, I just-" Gil realized how surprised he was that Odin even opened the door, and was caught off guard even though he was hoping for this. "I thought you'd be hungry."
He held out the plate as offering, adding lamely "You missed dinner."
Odin was relaxing the best he could given the situation. It was hard to do. There was just too much looming overhead, too much weight on his shoulders to do anything. He had decided to skip the meal when everybody congregated. Everyone was a thorn in his side. Why would he interact with them beyond what he had to? Maggie flat out hated him; Ava was wary of him at her best; and Gil was well… Gil.
Odin was sitting back, leafing through the pages of his notebook when there was a knock at the door. He groaned and shut his book with a soft thud.
Would Gil leave him alone if he didn’t answer?
Gil stood there nervously, the silence only reinforcing his notion that Odin really didn’t want to see him right now. Seconds ticked by and lack of answer only seemed to weigh heavier and heavier by the moment.
The doctor decided that maybe it was his cue to leave, and started to step away. But before he got too far, he glanced back at the plate of food, guilt suddenly itching at his sides. He couldn’t really let Odin skip dinner, could he? What if he was genuinely hungry but being too stubborn to face Gil?
His resolve suddenly strengthened tenfold as he approached and knocked on the door once more, thinking of a way to get the man to eat.
"Are you awake? Tonight’s dinner was actually really delicious!" Gil sort of internally flinched, realizing he didn’t really know what kind of food Odin even liked. He continued anyway. "I’m sure you’d like it."

Odin was calmly sitting beneath the trees, enjoying his smoke, when suddenly he heard a noise behind him. “A-alright now.. Come out or ill sh-shoot.” He whipped out his gun and pointed it in the direction of the noise.
"Odin, It's only me." Gil came forward more slowly then before, raising his arms in a defensive position. He gave a nervous chuckle hoping to diffuse some of the tension. It wasn't strange having the dark male be off by himself, but Gil felt like approaching him now was a perfect opportunity to start over from the negative first impressions.
Gil tried not to think about where Odin got that gun...
"Ah Maggie! Good morning." Gill greeted her from the kitchen of the ship. "You're up earlier then usual." He gave her a smile and continued to prepare breakfast, feeling a little happier now that the food will me eaten before it had gotten cold this time.
The question catches her off guard; she hadn’t expected anyone to notice her crafts, much less stop to inquire about them. “Oh, these? They’re just…frogs right now, but I can usually do more complex stuff.”
"Oh?" He decided this was a perfect opportunity to talk to the small girl more, seeing as most of his time was taken up my Maggie. "Would you show me?"
He leaned on the chair right beside her, waiting for her to accept before he sat down. Aside from getting to know more about the girl, it was actually quite exciting to see how paper animals are made. His studies usually took up most of his time, and small activities like these were never really encouraged in the academy.
Gil stood in front of the other mans door, quite unsure on how he should proceed. It's been a few hours since the rest of the group had eaten. Everyone except Odin, that is. Even with their differences and tense interactions, Gil was starting to get worried.
But it was the same kind of emotionally charged disputes that made it so hard for Gil to take that final step to knock on the door. Even with the plate of food in his hand, would Odin even accept it? Would he automatically reject the meal from the only fact that Gil was the one who presented it to him? The blue boy sighed, figuring that only trying will give him an answer. He he lightly rapped his knuckles on the old school solid door.
"Odin? Uh, It's me Gil," Oh geez, how stupid of him. Of course Odin already knows it's him. "I've brought you a plate from dinner."
The redhead was taking a stroll around the streets one afternoon, minding her own business. she paused as she heard a sudden voice, turning over to Gil. Tilting her head to the side, giving the man a curious expression.
"Yes? May I help you?"
"Ah yes! I was wondering if you could help me get some directions!" He gave a smile, relieved that someone was willing to help. "I'm actually not quite sure where we are..."
Gil was actually quite surprised. The young lady was pleasantly polite compared to his most recent company. It was quite refreshing! He'd also expected to have to try asking a few people before someone gave him their attention.
Gil walked calmly through the area, trying not to let the fact that he was lost get to him. It wasn't as if he hadn't taken a wrong turn before, but he couldn't help a strange feeling settle into his bones. Maybe he should ask one of the passerby's for directions? That was probably his best chance. He walked up to one woman in particular.
"Ah, Excuse me? Miss?"
