He knew she was there. There wasn’t anything that really got past him as he looked behind himself. Now what could she be asking about now? He knew exactly who she was referring to but he wasn’t going to cave in so easily.

“Oh? I don’t know what you’re talking about.” He really did. But his son was with Shiro for the time being as he worked seeing it wasn’t safe for an infant on the airstrip.

    hm... she had just gotten back from her trip with her dad to speak with other countries about space alliance, and she may or may not have been spying on the different techologies. she hopes what he’s working on isn’t important because she’s squeezed her way inbetween the two.  

       ❝ hey! when do you get off so i can see the little handsome man? ❞  there’s a slight pout played at her lips. she missed him. she hadn’t expected to be away for so long.

“The perfect conditions…”

It was important for him to get Toothless out and about every now and then. The dragon would often become overwhelmed by close quarters and would start digging at the corners of the castle. He didn’t think anyone noticed but he did. He always knew when his best friend was going stir crazy. One day they would go back to Earth and perhaps even stay there until the day the call of their ancestors lured them to their eternal rest. 

But for now they had to make do with what they could get. 

“Lots of nooks and crannies to explore. I think I’m becoming a bad influence. You used to complain when I dragged you out to explore the wilderness.”

He grinned gently remembering the first time they ever went to explore a planet full of forest life. He ended up carrying Pidge back and she complained the entire time as he did so. 

“I’m excited for this. Living off the land. Exploring a new planet! Smelling fresh air and looking up at the stars from a planet unlike our own.”

Space amazed him every second he stayed here with the paladins. Space was magical to him.

       ❝ Well I was never big on nature in the first place, but I guess it is growing on me. ❞  her lips curve into a smile as fingers reach out to scratch underneath toothless’s chin.   ❝  i think it will do us all some good .  if we stay cooped out trying to work on things it iwll start getting jumbled and my brain could use a little break. ❞

        she readjusts the small backpack she has on her back ,  ❝ lance said he was going to hang out at the pool and i have my communicator on me in case anything happens and it can alert green to come get me .  ❞ 

        she remembers all the camping trips her father took her and matt on when they were younger; she always thought they were dumb, but now she understood how important they were.    ❝ hey,  when we make it back... will you take me with you to explore berk ?  if i’m not grounded for eternity that is.  ❞
