I got to have a fun adventure today...
This is actually a picture a coworker took on his way to work to show why he was late. My friend who I called from inside the car to tell her to pass on that I wasn't gonna make it on time, saw the picture and was like "That's Stephanie!"
I went off the road after hitting not 1 but 2! Icy patches. My car, Marty, did a 180, hit the snowbank, flipped over, and got stuck on a tree. I was trapped inside.
I was upside down, but still in the driver seat. I managed to unbuckle but couldn't get out and couldn't find my phone to call for help. I heard 2 cars and stuck my hand out but didn't hear anyone stopping.
When I went back to looking for my phone, Jim arrived and after making sure I was okay, he called 911 and stayed with me. Talking with me and calming me down.
Eventually my phone vibrated under me and I found it. Called my co worker to tell her I was stuck and at best would be late, but also that I was okay, then my mom.
First responders arrived. They had to cut my windshield out to get me out. I ended up going to the hospital cause I did hit my head, but other than the soreness that I keep getting flashes of today, I'm fine. Tomorrow is gonna suck for soreness, but I'm okay.
Mom met me at the hospital, then we went to the tow yard to empty important stuff out of my car.
The guy at the tow yard didn't believe I had been driving.
After collecting the police report and dealing with insurance, we went back for my plates because... Well they are awesome and I've had them since I was 16. I'm keeping them.
But when I went to say good bye to Marty, she was a good car, I saw one of my Band-Aids on the ground and gave her a last bit of love.
Cause Iron Man can fix anything.
