I never posted last October’s pumpkin (kinda dropped of tumblr to be fair) but I’m super proud of it so…

Artwork for Samurai’s Black Dog from Cyberpunk 2077 because I’ve been obsessed with that song. Longest pumpkin carving I’ve ever done, 24 hours in total, and first pumpkin I didn’t carve in one sitting (still ended up being brutal though). 2 hours gutting, 5 hours to transfer the design and 17 hours to carve. But I loved the result, I only threw it out when it was basically mush.

I’m very tempted to get one of those fake foam pumpkins and carve it again on that, because damn. That design was made to be on a lit pumpkin.

Since it's Alice's birthday, I might as well finally follow up on this post, but I can't reblog it because I want to post a vid. So I did finish the brooch for Alice and I'm very proud of it:

It's inspired by Sheryl as Mademoiselle Guillotine (below), and yeah, fully movable. It's all from silver with some red resin inlay because my stone setting skills are not up to that level yet. Doing it almost killed me, because spending 8 hours of at the workshop and then another 10 or so doing jewellery at home for a few days was something (but no lessons about time management learned).

The kicker? I couldn't give it to him myself. Just before the M&G they collected any presents and we couldn't bring anything at all to the meeting. Not going to lie, not being able to see his reaction or show it off myself kinda crushed me. Alice was great and kind as always, but it was super short. Also the venue kinda sucked, not going to lie. But I did upgrade my top hat, and I'm in love with it.

And that's me at the Birmingham gig later that year, which was honestly much better venue so I ended up enjoying it a lot more. Plus Alice threw me his cane during School's Out (like not even in my direction, right at me)!

Shelley loves it. Also I painted a Beastö Blancö flag to wave at Chuck and he was so happy to see it it warmed my heart. He threw me his pick twice :)

This Halloween I’ve lived the true horror: getting so ill I couldn’t do anything on the spookiest (and my favourite) night of the year other than being curled up in bed, shivering from chills and fever :(

The pumpkins I did for this Halloween season: Doc Holliday, Jareth, Alice Cooper and gargoyle from Bram Stoker’s Dracula.

I spent way too much time pumpkin carving this October, with Dracula one taking the shortest time at around 8 hours, while Jareth took me over 16, the other two were around 12 (including gutting and transferring the design). I prefer working on real pumpkins, but it does mean I have to carve them in one go, because they start to dry out (and thus curl and deform) so fast.

Just two days till I’ve got Alice Cooper M&G and I’m so hyped I got a new badass vest and I’m sprucing up my top hat! Also I’m about to finish the brooch I made for him and it’s a freaking gullotine and the blade can fall down and it might be the coolest thing I ever made so stay tuned for pics!
