He admitted he was "so scared to be playing a woman" that he was "tightly wound" on the set, unlike his co-star Jack Lemmon, who embraced the drag aspects of the role. The album spotlighted a mix of songs and spoken word dialogue from her film career and features songs like "They're Either Too Young or Too Old", "Hush...Hush, Sweet Charlotte" and "I've Written a Letter to Daddy". It was a limited release that quickly went out of print before being reissued later.
