What do you think the most important element of web writing is?

How do you think web writing will change in the next year?

What is a good website, if you know any, that I can use to create logos or other content in a visually pleasing way?

For creating logo's I really think fonts are the most important part! I like to experiment with fonts on https://www.dafont.com . While they can't be used for commercial use, I like to use them to brainstorm and figure out font ideas!

What are you most proud of with your writing process?

I am not afraid to be a little chaotic when it comes to drafting and writing. I prefer to write out everything at once and then go in and make changes because it is hard to picture what direction you want to go in without something to work off of. I take pride in the process it took to perfect my writing routine.

I take a similar method to my writing! It's best to word vomit everything you have to say, and then refine as you continue. At least that's what works for me.

where will you adjust your essay to strengthen your point?

I plan on using terms I was taught in class to show how much I have learned throughout the semester, and placing an emphasis on what I am most confident in speaking on.

what are you most proud of with your writing process?

What I am most proud of with my writing process is the way I can create outlines. My dad was an English teacher so I was lucky enough to have someone who would help me prep my essays and proof read them and he taught me that a good outline was key for creating a successful essay.

what do you like most about your learning?

What I like most about learning is when I can indulge in a topic I'm passionate about. I hated grade school so college has been an interesting experience because I actually like school for once in my life and it's been a breath of fresh air

A question I have about writing skill development is how do you grow after being in education? After I'm done with school how do I continue to challenge and practice my skills outside of the classroom?

I don’t really watch TV shows, so I don’t have the experience of a canceled show. I imagine that it is much like reaching the end of a book and wishing the story continued. I remember getting to the end of a book called Young Deputy Smith which I loved as a kid. I tried to imagine what might come next in the storyline, but my imagination was so disappointing compared to the actual story.

This is pretty much what it feels like! Something about the internet that is nice is that most shows develop an online community, so when something is canceled the fanbase can discuss the possibilities of what could have been!

hare an example of your favorite television show or movie - how does that show/movie help you work through this project and understand angry fandom?

My favorite tv show is adventure time! I love it so much that I have a tattoo with the 2 main characters. The show went on for 10 years, and now there are multiple spin off series, so there was a large audience and fandom, and while most of the audience was positive, there was also lots of people who would get mad at the show. An example of this was when two of the female characters (featured above) were implied to have a romantic history, early internet was angry about this, as it does. The writers decided to make it canon in the finale and have them get back together officially, which most of the internet ended up being happy about.

share an example of your experience as a fan of a show that was cancelled. help us feel the feels

Invader aim being cancelled after two seasons broke my heart! I loved that show, I watched it when I was little and then rewatched it in middle school and when I watched it again I was disappointed to learn that they had cancelled it after 2 seasons. It was bizarre with an undertone of dark humor and I'm sad to see it wasn't very appreciated.

we are nearing the end of the semester, what questions do you have about naming and transferring the writing skills you developed in this class to real world, real life, work situations?

I think my main question about transferring the writing skills into the real world is about how we adjust to internet slang? Since it's so rapidly changing is it worth studying in web writing?

write  a style rule for writing a short tumblr post - based on what you know so far, what is a key rule for getting notices?

Something I noticed on Tumblr is that the use of images and hashtags are important. Hashtags help garner a specific audience, while images can attract someone's attention who is scrolling

what questions do you have about web writing in the real world? This scenario is developed to help you see how to extend your skills into social media specific responses to situations - what questions does that raise for you?

A question I have is with something as rapidly changing as the Internet, how does one keep up with slang, terminology, and trending phrases being used at such a pace?

Music helps get me into a writing mindset! I get distracted super easily so I have a pair of noise-canceling headphones that I wear, and I use it to help me focus as I write

What elements of data matter in your space? Why?

The element of data that matters most on TikTok is in my opinion, likes. While TikTok tracks likes, views, saves, shares, and comments, likes are the most important because they show who is actually interacting with the content rather than just scrolling by.

I would agree! I also think another important element of TikTok is reposts. I find so many creators from what my friends repost, and I think that probably introduces a new audience to some creators
