ptsd was never a good mix but being on the edge of the crowd clyde was always able to gather himself before going back to the rage of it all. it wasn’t until he found someone looking as miserable as he was that he decided a light conversation might help calm him down. “yeah woudn’t mind taking a seat, thanks.” he looked down at his cup, slowly swirling a thick brown liquor until glancing at the other. “you seem partied out already.”
Her lips twitched at that. What an understatement. “I have no idea what ya talkin’ about. I’m havin’ the time of my mother freakin’ life.” A full grin sprouted across her face at that. Giving a half shrug, she continued. “Honestly? This kinda thing just isn’t for me. Not my cuppa tea.” A quick glimpse of the room had her adding, "That bein’ said, I think it’s good for everyone to have this kinda event goin’ on. To be able to mingle, let their hair down, all that. I’d just rather be doin’ it in peace at home.” Grey pointed the end of her bottle in the man’s direction. “What about you? Is it not everything ya dreamed?”
Grey settled her feet on the edge of the table, ankles crossed, and slouched into her seat. It was far too loud, with the music playing, people shouting, and just the typical hustle and bustle of a party. Dear god, I’m gettin’ a migraine. She rubbed the palm of her hand into her forehead. Glancing up as she took a swig of her beer, she realized quite quickly that she was no longer alone. Swallowing slowly, she waved a vacant seat nearby with her free hand. “ Wanna sit?”

BACKGROUND
Born on February 23rd, 1974, to Sylvia and Richard Kingston, Grey was raised alongside her brother in a middle class family.
They grew up in Los Angeles.
Both Sylvia and Ric were drug using, peace loving hippies. Their life of partying came to a halt when Sylvia got pregnant. That being said, despite having a great deal of love and support for their kids, they were more like friends rather than parents.
Grey kinda had to be her own parent, and one for her brother as well. Someone responsible.
Growing up that way, Grey wanted something just for herself. She dabbled in quite a few hobbies and interests, but nothing felt right. Not until she took an art class in sixth grade taught by Mr. Wachowski. She fell in love with painting; it felt like a release of her emotions and frustrations.
She eventually went on to further her studies in art through college. Four years later, and she applied to the San Francisco Art Institute.
She never found out if she got accepted or not. On her way home from her part time job, she turned a corner and ended up in Sage Lake.
OTHER
The Kingstons had a small garden in their backyard. It wasn't anything fancy or worth bragging about, but it was nice. It turned out Grey had a bit of a green thumb, and kind of took it over. Gardening was cathartic in a similar way painting had been. This is part of what drew her to Ginger's Flower Boutique. It was nice to be around plants again, and it felt peaceful.
Grey wears black, thick rimmed glasses, and has a tattoo of a snake and flowers wrapping around her forearm and wrist
She has a decent voice and is pretty good at guitar.
Technology and mechanics of any kind are not her friend. She is the type of person whose way of "fixing" it is smacking it until it works (or breaks)
She has a cat called Coconut and a dog called Trinket.
“I want to do everything. I want to do comedy. I want to do drama. I like period pieces. I want to play dumb women and smart women, brave women and weak women, gay women and straight women. I want to be as versatile and experimental as I possibly can and keep working on my craft, even if now it has to be in the public eye. I just want to keep practicing and making mistakes and trying things.” — MAYA HAWKE
