Hi, @tryingtimi’s here with another blog to try and get back into the habit of creating visual stuff besides writing. Hah. We’ll see how it goes.

What you’ll find.

Mostly digital sketches, full digital paintings occasionally, traditional paintings once in a full moon, and when I get myself together to open an animation program again, short little animations. Probably silly too. And sometimes horny.

The themes will vary as I plan to start off with challenges, but once I’m more confident and consistent, I’ll stray to create stuff for the stories I’m writing. (Friends’s too)

What to expect.

I always struggled drawing hands before anyone told me what to do. So here is a HANDy dandy drawing reference to see the steps on an actual hand. There are three big muscles in the palm. The thumb lump is most important because without it you’ll never even get the shape right. Circle up the knuckles and draw bendy lines (red) to connect them. Make sure the fingers go from medium-tall-short-shortest just slightly (index=>pinky finger). Notice the big red squareish shape around the palm-that’s the first thing I do. Note: every infer has 2 knuckles don’t forget the thumb does too…just in a weird way.

Got the chance to visit the Frankenstein exhibit

Did another Puca Animation test! I wanted to combine the single-suspension gallop of a horse with the double-suspension gallop of a dog to make something really Uncanny.

There's a few places I can smooth her out (esp in the shoulders and tail) but I'm really proud of her gait and that rock.

Round Two! Worked really hard on the muscles, mane/tail, resized ears, bit of a pattern- I'm really pleased with this, but I think that what it needs now is to go from 12 frames to 24.

Did some Tweaks- got the coat colors a little more consistent, fixed the rock issue and got rid of a few lines that weren't matching up nicely, so she's a LOT Smoother IMHO.

I think I still need to draw 12 more frames for this to REALLY look like I want it, but she's really coming along!

so might just try and do some art again that i can share here and so i can get myself obsessed with Sasin again. it’s needed because they way i neglected them ugh.

also will prob try loads of versions of Liahn, style and appearance-wise cuz still in the designing phase. the last one i posted was just a quick discovery of the direction. but im also very tempted to just start working on Luwen too, ah. so much art ideas, damn.
